No I don't currently have a fan installed.by morkis - Printing
I've been trying to print off a part for my 3d printer using PLA, however after the first couple of layers the extruder always stops extruding. It seems to work fine for the first layer, but after that it always has issues. the amount of plastic being extruded usually gradually gets smaller until it gets to a point where the nozzle is only passing out small little globs of plastic, and then it stby morkis - Printing
I'm using sprinter firmware. I'm new to all this, so can you explain what you mean by when the endstops are actuated. Also yes they are all the same.by morkis - General
endstops are makerbot endstops, wired like so in the diagramby morkis - General
After experimenting with the ramps board i found out that the problem was that three of the four drivers were broken. They have been replaced.by morkis - General
So I was troubleshooting my mendel i2 the other day because the motors weren't working, and it turned out 3 of the 4 drivers were broken, so i got some new ones and attached them to the board. The motors are now turning, but only in one direction, they won't go anticlockwise unless i reverse the connection. I know this isn't a problem with the wiring/motors because when i plug the x and y axis inby morkis - General
I initially had the x y and z axis wired the same way as the extruder but it still didn't move.by morkis - General
sorry about the wait, my internet is a bit slow today, anyway here are my photos of the wiring, I've also twisted the red and grey wires together and the yellow and green wires and wrapped them around each other.by morkis - General
So i recently finished building my reprap prusa mendel i2 and wired it according to this image here: . I plugged the ramps board into the power supply and turned it on, then used pronterface to do a test air print, however when the heatbed and hotend got to the required temperature, the extruder started moving, but the x, y and z axis didn't move at all. I checked that it was getting the requiredby morkis - General
recently i obtained a ATX power supply from an old computer of mine to power my RAMPS 1.4 board. I followed a diagram on the reprap wiki showing how to connect the power supply to the board, with the yellow cables (in the + terminal) and black cables (in the - terminal) alternating. I then connected the board to the computer using the given connector. Once everything was connected, I plugged theby morkis - Controllers
I recently obtained my kit for a prusa mendel i2, and I have downloaded and installed the drivers for the audrino board and the audrino software. I downloaded the sprinter software, uploaded it to the audrino software and then uploaded it to the I/O board. Basically I followed all the instructions in this video: #! I then opened pronterface to try and move the stepper motors, and i know i have tby morkis - RAMPS Electronics
