You shouldn't feel stupid. It's not like the reprap comes with any instructions. I've created an image to show how my electronics are wired. The big black wire is what i added to fix the grounding issue. I've ordered from reifsnyderb and he is a good seller. I was actually going to ask you if you could make these, and now I know the answer. I'll be interested in ordering one when they are done.by ensgrp - General
Do yop have a piece of rod going through the bearing in your idler block? I can't tell from the picture. Initially i didn't use one, but when I did it worked much, much better. jkelso Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What I'm realizing now is that it's never going to > feed the filament through the hole underneath > where the bearing meets the hobbed boltby ensgrp - Reprappers
The way i've found that has worked flawlesly on my techzone mb is to plug the usb cable in and immediately click upload. Here are some other things to check. Make sure the green led is solid on the motherboard. Check the cable continuity with a multimeter to make sure all of the pins have good contact through the cable. Here is a diagram of how i've wired my tech zone electronics. Techzone wirby ensgrp - Controllers
Pictures would help. How are the resistors making contact inside the block? What is the temp reading before turning the heater on? Can you attach your temperature config?by ensgrp - Controllers
I'm still waiting on a replacement endstop and tried this. It still tried to go home Nudel Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Just edit the firmware to disable the endstops. > In configuration.h : > #define ENDSTOPS_MIN_ENABLED 0 > #define ENDSTOPS_MAX_ENABLED 0 > > Or you could hook up a switch as a mechanical > endstop.by ensgrp - General Mendel Topics
I've found the best way to update the firmware on the mobo is the following. Plug in the usb, then immediately plus upload firmware.by ensgrp - Sanguino(lolu)
I'll have to check when i get home tonight. I am seeing infrared light coming from the opto in question and all of the resistors measured the correct resistance. I did swap them and the other two opto's work perfect on the same cable/stepper.by ensgrp - Controllers
I have everything working except for one opto endstop. I'm using the techzone remix electronics so the led is lit when nothing is in the sensor and the led turns off when there is something in the sensor. The opto that isn't working has a green led on like the others however if you put something in the sensor, the led only dims. The other two both operate correctly.by ensgrp - Controllers
Here is a diagram of how mine is wired. I keep the mb wired the same for flashing and for normal operation. For flashing the extruder, i flip the 6 pin cable over as the extruder ground is at the top while the mb ground is at the bottom. Here is a diagram of how i have everything wired.Wireing diagramby ensgrp - Sanguino(lolu)
I actually figured out the issue and posted it here fix. Basically it was an issue with the motherboard on my gen3 remix not being grounded.by ensgrp - Controllers
My steppers turned fine without the opto's installed (minus being able to go home). Are you still having problems?by ensgrp - Sanguino(lolu)
I'm running windows 7 preimium as well. I had the same problem and it was due to one of the pins on the cable between the UM232R and the mb being loose. Note: I sitll need to holder rest, release it , then click upload immediately for it to work. Do you have issues uploading to the extruder controller as well?by ensgrp - Sanguino(lolu)
Just solved my issue. The gen 3 remix motherboard is powered via usb. I checked the motherboard ground and it read 7.6! I wired the the usb ground to my psu ground and it now reads 00.1 with the meter on 200k. The motor works perfect powered from the extruder (minus the whine). In all my testing i managed to fry one of my stepper drivers so i just purchased two more (one to replace and one to tryby ensgrp - Controllers
I'm using the techzone remix electronics. The extruder motor will occasionally spin when i hit the extruder button. Other times the extruder stepper will lock. Sometimes the stepper will turn clockwise while other times it turns counter clockwise. THe same is for the reverse button, sometimes it works somethimes it dosen't. I've tried adjusting the pot on the extruder but i can't seem to get itby ensgrp - Controllers
I actually have the same question. Is home the bed all the way forward, backward. The extruder to the left or right? I understand how to configure and use the opt switches, however i'm not sure where home actually is.by ensgrp - General Mendel Topics
I created a more detailed wiring schematic to aide in wiring the electonics for the reprap. Full size image here.by ensgrp - Controllers
I think I have it working. If i turn the extruder on the extruder motor truns for about 5 seconds and then holds with torque. Press it off does the same thing. Is this normal behavior?by ensgrp - Controllers
I should mention that i'm using the techzone v3 electronics.by ensgrp - Controllers
It works fine when connected to one of the axis. When its connected to the extruder, i can turn the stepper manually which causes the power light to come on (like the other axis). When I press the extrude button, nothing happens. Will it only extrude when the heater is at a certain temp? Is there a way i can force the stepper when it's attached to the extruder?by ensgrp - Controllers
I'm using wades geared extruder with a nema 17 stepper. The temperature sensor works along with the heated barrel. How would i test the stepper on the extruder to make sure it works.by ensgrp - Controllers
