I appreciate your response and I have ordered some MOSFETs to replace the faulty one. Being new to the 3d printer world, I continued researching a solution to my problem. I have some firmware which is suppose to be for my controller (marlin) and loaded it up. I believe that this a older version and I changed my motherboard in the parameters to "34" to facilitate dual extruders. I opened Pronterfa

Thanks for the advice on removing the bad MOSFET.
So essentially I cannot switch off the bad MOSFET and turn on the good MOSFET via the firmware?

Unfortunately, I purchased it on Amazon. I have emailed the vendor several times without a response, so I left negative feedback.
And I'm still stuck with a dead printer because I don't know how to activate the MOSFET for the other hot end

I appreciate the response Dust. When I send the M503 command, says:">>> m503 SENDING:M503" and then nothing happens. I don't know of a work around because I am new to 3d printing and I am getting zero help/support from the organization from which I purchased this printer from. Any ideas?

Firmware - mainstream and related support
Thank you for your reply. Honestly, I don't know what firmware is installed, or how I could even find out what it is. All the other components of the printer seem to be acting regularly, so the problem seems to be just with the hot end. I will check the resistance when I get a chance.

I recently put together my first 3d printer from a kit. When power is applied to the control board, the extruder temperature immediately begins climbing without being commanded. Does anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?
