Hello Everyone, I have some resources free and am thinking of building an app (Android/IOS) sort of tool-belt for 3D Printing. I use Octodroid currently to control my printer, but the free version have limitations and for some reason I can't upgrade to paid version, I tried. Regardless I can think of few more futures that could make my life so much easier... Now before I go and implement someby filamentshop - General

Hi Ivor, I am happy to hear that! Thanks for sharing an all the good words! btw. Great blog - a lot of useful information!by filamentshop - Ireland RepRap User Group
I use 3mm wade with 1.75 filament. Got some issues at the beginning, but I've used ptfe tubing to make the "hole" size to match and now it works fine so I guess it will work the other way of you drill the hole given that perimeter width is sufficient so over >0.625mm. If it isn't, it might expose the infill. Probably no need to say that, but before drilling make sure your hotend is 3mmby filamentshop - General Mendel Topics
Quote 1 please see attached photo why do the first few layers in all my prints appear ragged - all of the prints show this reproducible raggedness. Do you have fan? Does that happen to both ABS and PLA? Could it have something to do with bed-temperature radiating and affecting the print - what is your bed-temp setting? Try adding small brim maybe? In my case it improved overhang/corner wrapingby filamentshop - General Mendel Topics
Quote 1. motor for extruder is turning the right way, X-axis is going right when I press +X, Y-axis is going towards me when I press +Y (not sure if that is ok), Z-axis goes up when I press +Z.sounds okQuote2. I plugged the endstops on ramps to be X max, Y max and Z min and when I press them and tipe the M119 command I get the confirmation that they are working properlyI'd suggest you move your Xby filamentshop - General Mendel Topics
Image attached - it has been leaking a bit, but it has always been leaking, didn't affect prits too much. You could use ptfe-tape on the heating-block thread and on the screw to seal it a bit - I didn't bother since I've replaced it with e3d v6 soon after. It did the job in the meantime. As for cleaning - I used soldering iron, not too hot, just about to make plastic soft, but not liquid and pilby filamentshop - Reprappers
Same thing happened to me (home z was too low and pressure grew to high). Thread was not fixable in my case so I drilled little hole in peek and tighten the block within the peek with small screw - similar to the way you tighten the belt pulleys. Worked for me - I can send a picture once I get home. Cheers, Larry.by filamentshop - Reprappers
Maybe thermistor is not mounted properly and when your fan blowing at the thermistor, the temperature drops? Not sure how is thermistor mounted in e3d v5 - if it's (as in v6) screwed in with a wide screw - I'd check if it's tight and no gaps to actual thermistor chamber. If it's glued in (as in jhead)- I'd check the glue - maybe it's worn or something. Similar thing happened to me with j-head, sby filamentshop - Printing
Hi NumberSix, Thanks for asking, we currently ship loose, regardless of the volume, but we are hoping that in near future we will be able to ship on spools. Though it might be tricky given we allow mixing small amounts of multiple colors/types. Given the feedback we've received so far we are prioritizing this subject. We will publish all the updates on the blog. If you have any other suggestionsby filamentshop - Ireland RepRap User Group

Try Cura 3d from ultimaker - I've found it very simple to set up and use, doesn't offer as much settings/customization as some, but should get you started quickly. tip: if you expierience connectivity issues with your prusa, try previous versions of cura - I've found that the firmware/hardware I have works best with version 13.x /Larry (www.filamentshop.ie)by filamentshop - Printing
What software do you use? Is your printer fully setup - i.e. can you move motors, heat the hotend, extrude?by filamentshop - Printing
I use bitumen roofing tape strips (you can get some in diy store) and place here and there on the frame, some rods (where possible) and parts. It reduce vibrations and the noise is little less carried by the walls - It doesn't do miracles but the effect is noticeable! You could also place some underneath a printer so it doesn't stand directly on whatever it stands on. Altough I have to agree thatby filamentshop - Smart_Rap
