Are any of you guys rebuilding the Cubex printers replacing the extruder assembly and living in the UK who wouldn't mind parting with it?by Rlewisrlou666 - General
If you have a dual extruder you could use a larger nozzle and that would speed up your infill time. It's not a case of infill layer height more a case of infill layer width larger nozzle lays down a thicker line at the same layer height as the skin and should print faster. Another option would be to build a double wall on your print, infill the inner wall and leave the cavity hollow to fill wby Rlewisrlou666 - General
Do not use concrete it will eat any plastic you use.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Would it work better with 2 rotary encoders and a slotted optical sensor instead of the optical sensors?by Rlewisrlou666 - General
@the_digital_dentist - Thank you for the great advice I might ask on your post if you don't mind but I will have a crack at building my own too. It's always good to learn new skills.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Hi Guys and Girls, I've been looking at ways to detect jams/clogs/running out of filament and found the tunnel filament monitor but it's pretty expensive. Are there any other ways to do it? Thanks Ryan.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
On the technical Drawing look like bearings. Lol I worked it out after I posted and forgot to change my post. Quotefg dude No bearing on the nozzle, just cooling holesby Rlewisrlou666 - General
Just getting used to Fusion 360 so I've been making hot ends.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
I've got a question for you guys. Are they Bearings around the nozzle shaft?by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Is it direct drive, Bowden, wades? Are you getting any unusual marks on your filament like stripping or anything.by Rlewisrlou666 - Printing
What extruder system are you using?by Rlewisrlou666 - Printing
Check the tension on your Y axis belt or the drive pulley itself. You may have some slop in the belt so it's not driving the Y axis accurately at higher speeds.by Rlewisrlou666 - Printing
Most PLA should print well between 180c and 220c. Do you have your fans on while printing?by Rlewisrlou666 - Printing
What temps are you using?by Rlewisrlou666 - Printing
What about a professional coating of Teflon like they put on pots and pans? I was reading that to get the coat to stay on you have to bake it at 400c.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
What size nozzle are you using?by Rlewisrlou666 - Printing
So I've got a question and not sure if it has been done or not. Teflon or PTFE can be applied and baked at 0.001 layer thickness would that improve smaller diameter Nozzles or cause more problems.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
If you watch the lulzbot interview with Tom Sanladerer here have a look on top of the printer.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
This was a few hours work split over 2 days in Fusion 360. If you have an under powered computer the cloud render is an excellent tool.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Hi Guys and Girls, I know this has already been done I'm just wondering if there is a way to fully customise a LED system. I want to have status colours for each job. Powering up/ Auto Leveling/ Heating extruder/ Heating Bed/ Printing plus if at all possible to flash if running in to problems. Thanks Ryan.by Rlewisrlou666 - Experimental and Hobby
Sounds like you've had quite the adventure and learned a lot of pretty awesome stuff. Things that might help you make a massive impact on the 3D Printer community especially when it comes to micron extrusion and how to effectively design Nozzles under .1mm.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Holy Shit Balls Viktor, Where do you work if you don't mind me asking?by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Check the connections of your Thermistor.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
A .OBJ would be the easiest option as I can try in both Blender and Fusion 360. Ryan.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Isn't there a way to make Fractal Vases in Simplify-3D or one of the Slicer programs? I'm sure that one of the YouTubers was talking about it, I'll see if I can find the Video and get back to you guys.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
@Dragonfire - Probably about as long as it will take for him to answer your question.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Sounds like you've got your wish to come true. I'm just getting my shed sorted and once my printer build and cnc build are finished I should have a workshop where I can design and build anything I want or need.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Sounds to me that you've got your first layer settings set to a higher temp check your slicer.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
