Hi Guys and Girls, I'm still decided what electronics to go with and I'm just thinking about end stops. Ok so my question is. Can I use the same proximity sensors that are used for Auto Bed Levelling for my end stops? I'm just thinking of building this without the need for upgrades at a later stage and I'll be using them in my CNC build so I would like to get some experience with them. Hi Guys and Girls, Just putting this here to see if there is any interest in my Myford ML8 Wood Lathe. It is one of the earlier 1950's ones and comes with the Myford Cabinet. I've fully restored it and added a digital Variable speed motor. I'm looking to swap it for a Metal Lathe or sell it to buy a Metal Lathe. Make me an offer or tell me what you've got to swap. Many thanks Ryan. P.by Rlewisrlou666 - For Sale
Sounds like a very interesting project. I've been looking at buying a New Pi since the kids stole my project board for their arcade machine. Looks like I've got a new reason to buy one.by Rlewisrlou666 - Controllers
Pin vice or a very very small collet chuck. I've got loads of the little shits laying around in my toolboxes for when I used to mod Warhammer Miniatures.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Try loading the bit till you've barely got any sticking out the end of the chuck and take it slow then feed the bit out in steps. More support less force.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
A cartridge heater is really cheap depending where you are from in the world it shouldn't cost you more than a hotend.by Rlewisrlou666 - Printing
I had a cold call a while ago telling me they were from Microsoft and that they needed me to give them remote access to my PC to do some security testing and there would be a charge for the service. I bet they get a lot of old people that haven't got a clue how computers work and hear Microsoft then give them access. Long story short I kept the guy on the phone for about 2 hours tap tap tappingby Rlewisrlou666 - General

Have you considered that you might have broken cartridge heater? If it's climbing to temp and then failing after a certain time it might just be expanding with the heat to a point that it fails.by Rlewisrlou666 - Printing

@srek, VDX - Thanks for the heads up guys I'll probably stick to a 0.3 till I'm dialled in and then move to a smaller Nozzle. It is always fun to tinker and push the limits of what things are capable of though.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Have you got a Sketch? I don't mind giving it a crack for you if you would like.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Have you looked at your Slicer settings check if you are printing with a raft. I'll say it again too you need to turn your temps down and print at a slower speed for the first few layers to get good adhesion. PLA doesn't need to be extruded at 205c plus for PLS I think you need to be printing with the fan on. Give this a watch.by Rlewisrlou666 - General
Fusion 360 at the moment and finding it pretty good for designing parts I want I did find it a bit of a pain to get used to but nothing a couple of days on Youtube couldn't fix. I used ZBrush and Maya in Uni for Games Design but I haven't used them in a few years so they might be different now. If you want to create Highly polished models in either you will need a good graphics card and a decenby Rlewisrlou666 - General

I think the key is in the gradient/pitch/angle of the nozzle bore. If you can work out the best way to transition from 3mm/1.75mm to 0.01mm or what ever size nozzle you want to achieve without having steps or at the very least make the steps as small as possible, it'll in theory make things easier. Looking at how the nozzles are made the majority are just 2mm bore with a 0.03mm hole at the veby Rlewisrlou666 - General
