Hello guys again. Just sited down to computer, willing to try advised techniques, issued m666 l in pronterface and realised that all changes witch i made in configuration.h (marlin) are not taken in account. as example i set #define DEFAULT_DELTA_DIAGONAL_ROD 305.0, upload changes to arduino mega, when i issued m666l it shows : R (Delta Radius): 176.00 D (Diagonal Rod Length): 283.00 H (Z-Heightby didzix - Delta Machines
Looks awesome, definitely will try Thank You hercek Djby didzix - Delta Machines
Thanks for response, will try to play with them as soon i will get home Djby didzix - Delta Machines
Hello everybody Sorta new guy here. I'm building custom 3d delta printer based on cherry pi plastic parts. Vertical extrusions 700mm and horizontal 350mm (20x20 extrusions) Using CF rods with magnetic joints for carriers and end effector (rods 283mm). Made my x,y,z max end stops (mechanical) adjustable for mechanical adjustments I'm using nema 17 steppers arduino mega + ramps 1.4 (Rich Cattell mby didzix - Delta Machines
I have Prusa mendel built some time ago. Arduino + ramps 1.4 + a4988, wades extruder, marlin Currently my extruder is working ok, but it is set to full step, loud and not precise When I'm setting to 1/16 on ramps, stepper is turning werrry slow. Question: If I will adjust pots on driver, will motor spin faster? I understand that I will need to adjust steps per mm. But this will be after getting sby didzix - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
Found faulty stepper. taked off gearbox, gear on steppers shaft was loose. If somebody knows any Uk distributor for nema 17 with planetary gearbox, give a shout.THNXby didzix - RAMPS Electronics
tried to adjust pot settings on driver, but no luck. taked jumpers out and motor is spinning Do anybody experienced same?? I cant leave it like that, knowing that on half of the print it will stop again...PLEASE NEED Some HELP, adviceby didzix - RAMPS Electronics
Normally mechanical endstops are using two wires( one connects C and other one to NC on switch) From wiki = Connect S (top row, labelled to the left) on RAMPS to NC on the switch. Connect GND on RAMPS to C on the switch.by didzix - RAMPS Electronics
Thanks for quick respond Driver is not hot and i have active cooling on the ramps Just measured vref = 0.5 volts, witch makes 1.25 amps The A4988 driver IC has a maximum current rating of 2 A per coil I just cant understand why when jumpers are set to 1/16 micro stepping, there is no action from motor, when it is set to full step it is turning. I have regular 1.8 degree nema 17 steppers, extrudeby didzix - RAMPS Electronics
Story: Builded prusa mendel machine with wades extruder, everything was working fine, printer was calibrated and so on. One day i upgraded my extruder to direct drive one, and the problems started.... printing started fine, but after some time extruder stepper motor stopped working.after some time and fiddling with stepper it was working again. couple days later was trying to make some prinby didzix - RAMPS Electronics
Can somebody help me with printing parts for me ( will pay reasonable money) will be full set of parts. STL will provide. Our community is growing slowly but steady thanks to helping out each other Thnxby didzix - Job Shop: I need stuff made!
Thank You guys for help, quick overview what I done based on formula Formula from wiki I calculated my theoretical extruder E steps per mm Calculate E_steps = motor_steps_per_rev * driver_microstep * big_gear_teeth / small_gear_teeth / PI / hob_effective_diameter in My case : I have a 51:11 pair on my gregstruder, so I calculate 200*16*51/11/3.14159/6 = 601.89 Entered 601.89 in marlin, compileby didzix - General
Can somebody help with these values? I was googling and googling, calculated steps per mm, still something is wrong, t feeds more than 10 times more than it should. I'm guessing that number under steps per unit means something, what i need to change, cant find any info!by didzix - General

Thnx for reply, will try it. What about value in extruder steps per unit?? #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {78.7402,78.7402,200*8/3,760*1.1} // default steps per unit for ultimakerby didzix - General
I got my stepper working by changing e feedrate under pronterface optionsby didzix - General
A bit confused. There are my settings from marlin: #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {80,80,200*16/1.25,601.89} // default steps per unit for ultimaker #define DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE {500, 500, 5, 25} // (mm/sec) #define DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION {9000,9000,100,10000} // X, Y, Z, E maximum start speed for accelerated moves. E default values are good for skeinforge 40+,by didzix - General
One additional question. Where can I disable function: prevent cold extrusion. burning every time heater is no goodby didzix - General
Thnx for quick reply Just switched on my printer, heated up hot end and tried steps described. Motor in no more turning!!It screams and vibrates but is not turning, Plugged different stepper, and the same Replaced driver, sameby didzix - General

My reprap prusa mendel assembly is finished, everything are working fine apart of my wades extruder! Totally stuck on calibrating. i have standard parts : nema 17 1.8 deg, ramps 1.3 using merlin and pronterface, 2.5 belts and pulleys, calculating x,y,z steps per unit makes no problems, but extruder is pain in a...s. can somebody in simple language explain how to calculate extruder steps per unitby didzix - General
Thnx for quick reply. checked wires with multimeter, and everything was ok,then fined out that one of opto endstops are not working, checked wiring, everything was fine, means hardware was ok. was checking IDE and found motherboard aren't defined. defined ramps witch corrected endstop prolem. Max tem was still triggered.changed max and min temperature values and monster came alive. Still need toby didzix - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Just finished building Reprap Prusa Mendel, connected electronics and uploaded firmware And there problems started, I'm using ramps 1.3, Merlin, and Pronterface When i uploaded merlin file to arduino and checked serial monitor, it shows error: Marlin 1.0.0 echo: Last Updated: Apr 28 2013 21:21:29 | Author: (none, default config) Compiled: Apr 28 2013 echo: Free Memory: 5525 PlannerBufferBytes: 1by didzix - Firmware - mainstream and related support
