Yes, it is indeed a lot to learn You can start here: Take each line of code, and figure out what is doing. For the behavior you mentioned, I think somewhere the origin of X and/or Y are set in a wrong way.by 3Dmaker4U - Slic3r
On the other hand, the fact that the nozzle passing above the perimeter "destroys" it indicates you have an adhesion problem. Especially on "bad" filaments, a good bed leveling will make the difference. Depending on the printer type, you may adjust Z axis or bed while executing the skirt. Another alternative is to provide the design with a "printing pad", which is a single layer completely filleby 3Dmaker4U - Slic3r
I don't thing you should care too much about how the exported STL looks, but rather how the G-code looks. You will be amazed to discover that everything is aligned STL export is buggy. If you need to really be in control of positioning, scaling or cutting a model, use netfabb Basic.by 3Dmaker4U - Slic3r
Ca sa masori "incarcarea" trebuie sa umbli in cod.
Anyway, to do that, you have to remove the heated plate assembly, to access the caps of the 4 screws. I found useful to use a drop of superglue to stick the end coming from the motor on the "U" part. Then you'll find yourself having an additional hand availableby 3Dmaker4U - Huxley
Pai, a cui e ideea aia, cu doua lifturi unul langa altul? Nu cumva a ta? In ceea ce priveste dilema cu rotile, nu e nicio problema, atata vreme cat este cum ai desenat, indiferent daca rotesti sau oglindesti desenulby 3Dmaker4U - Suport instalare si punere in functiune
"Caroseria" trebuie facuta "autoportanta", adica sa aiba cat mai putin de-a face cu structura imprimantei. Astfel se evita in mare masura rezonantele nedorite.
O durere tot ramane: trebuie sa sincronizezi cele 2 "lifturi". Dar asta e o chestie deja clasica. Desigur, e mai complicat, deci si mai costisitor.by 3Dmaker4U - Suport instalare si punere in functiune
Apart from "Default extrusion width", have you also tried "Perimeters" on the same "Extrusion width" section on "Advanced" "Print Settings"? Let aside nozzle diameter. It is not used in determining the extrusion. And be aware that "default" will be overwritten by a more specific extrusion width if not set to 0. However, if you really want to control the dimensions, set all extrusion width manualby 3Dmaker4U - Slic3r
G1 Z20 F150 instructs the printer to move to Z = 20 mm with a speed of F = 150 mm/min = 2.5 mm/s F600 won't work since it corresponds to 10 mm/s which is above the speed you determined experimentally, i.e. 175 mm/min = 2.75 mm/s. M203 Z150 will set the max speed on Z to 150 mm/s, indeed From the terminal in Pronterface or any other terminal function of your host program, you should do: M203 Z2by 3Dmaker4U - Slic3r
Make sure you set the actual limits in firmware for each axis. Even if the code generated by Slic3r will demand higher values, the speed will not be higher than the value set in firmware.by 3Dmaker4U - Slic3r
You can try to supply from a laptop adapter. However, you'll need 2 wires and pay attention to prevent a short. Also, you may need 4 hands Did you try reversing the connector?by 3Dmaker4U - Huxley
With Slic3r, the diameter of a hole (inner diameter) is about 1 (one) extrusion width smaller than the designed diameter. So to say, if you want to have a 60 mm inner diameter, with a 0.5 mm perimeter width, you should design the part with 60.5 inner diameter. Then, you may want to set the relevant extrusion widths to a value that will produce an integer number of traces within the given area betby 3Dmaker4U - Slic3r
It happens also to me for many parts with low slope to have the number of top solid layers not fulfilled in some regions. The worst thing is that in certain circumstances (I didn't find any rule), nor more perimeters are added, hence the external surface is compromised (holes). I'm normally using 20% infill, 2-4 perimeters, infill on every layer, 0.1-0.2 mm layer height, so nothing spectacular. Iby 3Dmaker4U - Slic3r

La primul, daca zici ca temperatura era ok, mai ramane un singur motiv: gaura de 0,4 mm prea lunga. In mod normal, ar trebui sa fie de vreo 0,5 mm. Pe de alta parte, n-am prea inteles faza cu racirea la partea fierbinte, cum vine aia?by 3Dmaker4U - Suport instalare si punere in functiune

Looking back to your design (grey thin-walled object), looks like it is composed of two shells not a watertight mesh. When you slice it, Slic3r (and perhaps any slicer) will generate code for both the inner and the outer shell... if it is enough space. In your test, for distance between walls lower than 0.8 mm, slicer cannot generate the paths, because they will overlap, and the internal logic ofby 3Dmaker4U - Slic3r
Quotedtmille2 But Slic3r only wants to generate traces of material if the object is thick enough to allow for a trace on the inside and outside surfaces of the object. This means I can get an object with walls that are two traces thick, but not one trace thick: This is not true. Could you please export the config you use and post it here. Also specify the width of the wall in your model.by 3Dmaker4U - Slic3r

There are no (serious) issues with the model. It's a Slic3r issue (you may call it bug). Due to the shape of the top and the very thin layer height, it gets confused about what the "top layer" is. I sliced the model in Simplify3D and there are 35 layers at the top of any part of the... top of the knob (including where it goes from round to, say, rectangle on the lower part). Set your extrusion width manually, for example 0.4 mm, for all widths in Advanced settings. You can also set the nozzle diameter to a bit smaller value, for example 0,39, that will avoid gaps in thin walls.by 3Dmaker4U - Slic3r
QuotedmouldSlic3r usually uses a default extrusion *width* equal to the nozzle size you have set. Actually, the default extrusion width is slightly larger than the nozzle diameter that is to correct for the die swell. It's funny that to avoiding gaps in thin wall, you have to set the nozzle size a bit lower than it's actual diameter. Now, for the trick above, you have to set it a bit higherby 3Dmaker4U - Slic3r
