Hi folks! I am selling my Prusa Mendel i2 printer on Ebay: Details there about this printer, which started out as a kit from Mixshop, some ABS parts off of Ebay some years ago, and various other parts as it's received some ugprades over the year. The condition is that it sat around for a while unused, and when I pulled it out to print again, I was able to print a small companion cube as a tesby jrherita - For Sale
Hi Folks! I'm getting back into 3D printing and would like suggestions for a reliable, easy Extruder/Hotend setup for an i3 (and i2). My current printers use a J-Head MK-V (hotends.com), and at this point I don't even remember what kind of Wade's / Greg's Geared Extruders I have.. All I know is these printers have collected a lot of dust due to frustration around changing filament (3mm is whatby jrherita - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi Folks! I have an 'old' computer that I wanted to connect to a Reprap via a standard serial port. I have a Prusa i3 (and an older i2) I believe running Sprinter firmware (it may be Marlin - it's been a while), RAMPS 1.3/1.4, and the Mega 2560. Since the old computer doesn't have USB - can I just connect to the serial pins on the Mega 2560 to send commands (/ receive ACK)? or do I need toby jrherita - RAMPS Electronics
What kind of oil? I have this issue too (I'd like to start a "I hate J heads club", but I'm guessing it's really user error...)by jrherita - Reprappers
Hi reprappers! I need some help. I'm running a Prusa Mendel and am unable to get my first layer to stay on the bed during the initial layer fill process.. The print will start with the outline, initial 'holes', and initial perimeters all going well. However, when the print starts to fill in the other gaps in the first layer, eventually things start lifting from the bed in the center of the prby jrherita - General Mendel Topics

In the quest for a reliable hot end I've decided to stop trying to fix the "brand x" hot end i'm using and replace with a J-Head Mark V B. Upon completion of wiring the new J-Head hot end, Pronterface/Repetier-Host are reporting back my temperature as 357C. I've searched a bunch of forums and most people indicate this is a short or burned circuit. I can verify the circuit is good because whenby jrherita - RAMPS Electronics
Hello All! I'm very new to this community/reprap in general. I've cobbled together my first Prusa Mendel, with parts sourced from various locations (mostly mixshop, with some upgrades such as bearings, couplers, belts, etc from other places). I've hooked everything up to RAMPS, but the only motor that seems to work perfectly is the y-axis. the x-axis mostly works, but occasionally makes aby jrherita - RAMPS Electronics
