Hi All, I have a new Rumba board. I have DVR8825 drivers on it. When I attach a stepper motor to it (x or y) and I try to move it it just vibrates back and forth and does not move. It just hums either louder or software based on how I turn the DVR8825 screw. Does anyone have any ideas about that or maybe its the jumper settings on the board. I cant find a manual on the RUMBA Thanks Steveby sbloom67 - RAMPS Electronics
So I am building a larger printer. And I am using 3 long 640 mm 16mm rods for a "Y" axis with 3 long pillow block bearings to go on the shafts. Those blocks will be moved by a motor. That is the "Y" axis. The block each weigh about 10 oz and the shaft each weigh about a kilogram. The rods are not moving for "Y". But mounted on top of the "Y" will be two more 590mm by 16mm rods with two more pilloby sbloom67 - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors

I really need to know how much each stepper can handle in Amps so I can make sure I can get the correct Nema motor. Thanks Stevenby sbloom67 - Controllers
So I am getting ready to build my large printer and I want to use 24 volts for large bed , etc. My question is how much amperage can a Rambo board accept and send out ??? Also, I want to use Nema 23 steppers for x y and z. I see ones rated for 1 amp and higher. How much power can the Rambo send out per coil ???by sbloom67 - Controllers
So I would like to build a new printer. But I would like to use 4 z-axis motors. Do any of the 3d printer boards handle 4 z axis, 2 y axis and 1 x axis along with somewhere between 2 - 4 print heads. Also does merlin firmware even handle it ??? Thanksby sbloom67 - Developers
