Good news! There wasn´t torque extruder problems, but I had a temperature gradient along the hot end and nozzle structure. I insulated nozzle and hot end all together with cotton and Kapton tape. At the first try I was able to extrude 1170mm ABS, with 0.3mm, nozzle in 20 seconds, that´s about 60mm/s! Maybe I had my nozzle temperature much below that the thermistor was showing before insulatingby dremel - Reprappers
Quoteo_lampe #define DISABLE_E false // For all extruders In Marlin this line looks like that. I don't know, if you can change this with an M-command using pronterface, maybe you'd have to reflash the firmware. -Olaf thanks for the advice Olaf, I have the following configuration: #define DISABLE_X false #define DISABLE_Y false #define DISABLE_Z false #define DISABLE_E false // For all extruby dremel - Reprappers
Quotejulianh72 You need to look at the firmware that you are running, and what it does after it completes the "Move" commands that you send to it. For example, all of my steppers are "locked solid" when the printer is under the control of the Pronterface UI (so current is being supplied to all motors, held in position and ready to move), but at completion of a print job, the G-Code includes a M8by dremel - Reprappers
Quoteo_lampe That's physics... As soon as the weight drops a bit from a skipped step, it gains velocity which adds to the static weight. This causes a chain reaction. -Olaf the gear unwind right after it has the lifting job done. Is the board powering off by its own? I can´t stop gear spinning even applying force, but I can move the gear when the gear velocity is zero. That torque is lower tby dremel - Reprappers
In order to test extruder torque, I have tied weights in the extruder gear (direct drive). After that, I tried to lift it. Depending on how much weight is hung, when the motor stops, it suddenly starts to unwind. Is it normal? weight: 350 grams Gear diameter: 11 mm motor: NEMA 17HS4218by dremel - Reprappers
Spool says ABS 1.75mm, but actually measures 1.68mm (micrometer ). As you suggested, I tested the gear extruding 100mm sample (without hotend and nozzle hooked up). This turned into 103.38mm. I am testing the pressure against the filament. I have noticed I can easily pull the filament and the gear start spinning.by dremel - Reprappers
I try to extrude 1.68mm ABS filament. When it stops extruding, the extruder gear theeth begins to slide over the filament surface. The gear keeps spinning and it starts digging the ABS filament. the extruder has a PTFE liner in the space right after the gear until 5mm above the heat cartridge. Hotend inside is metal. I have a fan continuously on. It has a teflon washer inside the nozzle.by dremel - Reprappers
I have bought a extruder kit on ebay and I can´t extrude. The stepmotor pulls the filament through the hotend chamber, then it starts to stop extruding by itself. I set hotend temperature at 220C. I tried 220C - 240C range tempetrature with no success. I have also tried to lower the extruder speed down to 5mm/s, then 1mm/s and 0.5mm/s. I assume I have no clogged nozzle because I can extrude theby dremel - Reprappers

QuoteDust no endstops.... standard configuration it will not move if endstops are not connected send the printer a M119 command. Any endstops that come back triggered, It will not be able to move in that direction. If you dont intend installing endstops then invert the logic so its always open. eg if X min endstop is showing triggered change X_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING = true; to = false; consby dremel - General
I don´t know how to identify what the issue is. It was not intended for selling purposes, but I started a 3d printer prototype applying SFU1605 ballscrews and independent heatbeds for academics. wantai specs are: black= A+ green = A- blue= B- red= B+ that´s aliexpress says about. my question is: 2B/ 2A/ 1A/ 1B RAMPS matches A+/ A-/ B+/ B-? if so, I´ve tried: BLACK/ GREEN/ RED/BLUE BLACK/ GREEN/ BLUE/ RED and also: RED/BLUE/ BLACK/ GREEN the 3 combination produces the same results. QuoteDust Yes. turn off power supplies (unplug usb also) . pull jumper. check resitance between pins where the jumper would sit. Should be high. A low indicates there is a hidden track shorting it. OK. I did. All tracks seems okby dremel - RAMPS Electronics
QuoteDust "each 3200 pulses per second, I get only 4mm/s" standard ramps can do ~67000 max step per second.... if you looks at you can caculate the steps its using, using quad stepping mode (wich is the default) Great info! Quoteo_lampe Some Ramps clones have bridges under the jumper pins. No matter if the jumpers are on or not, the stepper would run 1/16 anyways. -Olaf Olaf,I didn´t know that. How could I see that? Does short-circuit checking with multimeter?by dremel - RAMPS Electronics
QuoteDust That looks good. I cant see a question here vref is related to you stepper motors and drivers, wich you havent listed any details for your stepper motors (and they look tiny, but could be big machine) I also have to ask why you have to use full steps, that just uses so much more power is jerky and loud. I am new writing a question, but I always read the forum. First, I want to thank everyone that contributes sharing experiences and knowledge to this place. I have tried to take some pics to show my doubts. the problem begins when I am preparing the stepmotor to move around the axis. It makes tiny movements, like fast and little increments.
