I actually bought this unit from them as well...i have the larger version that prints 220x220x230...took a bit to get it running, but its a great machine...my issue is that after printing 3 parts, the fourth part stopped mid print, and i lost all control...i cant move anything manually anymore its completely unresponsive...ive checked out alot of info on it and the best i can come up with is thatby llotek - Prusa i3 and variants
this thread is a bit older, but came across it when i sort of ran into this issue myself...i have a new i3 kit that i got off aliexpress...the kit is actually really great for the price...but strangely enough, my extruder functions when i move it through the lcd controls, but i cannot get it to move when using it in matter control...i can move x,y,z using matter control, but not the extruder...ivby llotek - RAMPS Electronics
thanks for the quick response...been learning how to load the firmware via marlin etc..getting there...ended up swapping the board again with another just to get my printer up and running, now going to try and connect it via usb to my laptop, with no other wires attached, see if my laptop will recognize and connect then...thanks again for the helpby llotek - General
SO, I mangaed to short out my old Melzi 2.0 Board when adjusting the amperage on the pots...stupid me...i had another new board kicking around so didnt think it would be an issue...I swapped out the boards, but now when i power it on, the led flashes a couple times, the fan starts up, then it stops and the led turns solid...the board wont connect to the software, though it does make the connectioby llotek - General
i have just started using ABS, and am giving up due to all the issues, 2 weeks of dithering and no prints...now i made a slurry out of some of my ABS, and i noticed that there are solid bits at the bottom of the slurry, which i too think is either die, or actual contamination in the filament...my nozzle certainly doesnt look like yours, but i am getting jamming and find that the filament is too sby llotek - Printing
I had this happen once, but just a bit, while printing white PLA..im pretty sure it was a small build up inside that had burnt due to sitting, then started mixing in with the fresh stuff and extruded out...I would say its due to temps being a bit high, possibly causing some build up, burn, then extrusion..play around with a wide range of temps and see what works bestby llotek - Printing
Im new to 3d printing, got 2kg of PLA with the printer..learned how to do everything and started getting real nice prints..then thought, ya, its time for ABS...well, i got like 2 ok prints and the problems have left me dead in the water...though, in the 40 or so hours of rebuilding, building a chamber, rebuilding again etc etc..i have learned alot...but still cant get the ABS working well on my mby llotek - Printing
I cant add much, but from what Ive read, stay away from the PVC...i think its highly toxic when melted...for the rest, Im actually planning to do the same as you, so please post your results...thanks!by llotek - Printing
this is the same issue i am having while trying to print in ABS. my hobbed bolt just digs into the ABS and it stops all together...i can push the filament to make it extrude, but as soon as i stop pushing, the hoibbed bolt start digging in again...i think my ABS is too soft..this never happened with the PLA. ive tried aligning everything..increased spring pressure pinching the filament to the hobby llotek - Printing
Ya, Im using an i3 variant, and went through 2kg of PLA thinking i was a pro....then decided to get 1 kg of ABS...yes, im back to feeling like a retard...ive done everything from create a build chamber to completely rebuilding the entire machine, but still cant get it right, as it turns out, i think the ABS is too soft, so the hobbed gear just digs into the fiolament and stops the extrusion..thenby llotek - Printing
