Correct, the endstops are X/Z at the Min value, and Y at the max position.by casperen - Firmware - Marlin
Hello, I am building a custom cartesian 3d printer and trying to get the new marlin version 2.1.1 running but seem to be running into an issue. Printer: basic dual extruder running a Ramps 1.4 with A4498 stepper drivers and mechanical endstops. The issue I am having is the one Y axis endstop is on the max location(pic attached) of the Y axis and when I change the config accordingly the axis noby casperen - Firmware - Marlin
I had this issue with different versions of Arduino IDE. I haven't had an issue with version 1.60.by casperen - RAMPS Electronics
I went through the wiring and can't find anything wrong. I've testing the 5v regulator seperately, and it is supplying 5v. How do you test if the regulator is getting to hot? if it is, how do you cool it. I currently run a 80 mm fan blower on both boards. The extra heatsinks I have are to large to fit between the two boards. Trying to figure my issue out, I did a couple dry runs and the controllby casperen - RAMPS Electronics
Replaced the 2004 LCD with a 12864 and the screen has stops going weird. But the stopping issue still persists. I've checked for loose wires, bad soldering on boards, nothing helps. The problem is completely random.by casperen - RAMPS Electronics
I'm only using the 2004 LCD, not the 12864 LCD.by casperen - RAMPS Electronics
The ribbons I'm using are the stock ones that come with the LCD, and I did try swapping them out for another pair with no improvement. The closest motor is at least 8 inches away, so I'm sure I'm not getting any interference from it. Well, I guess I will try and replace the LCD and hope it helps.by casperen - RAMPS Electronics
If that was the case then it should of been fixed when I swapped over to a new arduino/ramps board, but the problem persisted.by casperen - RAMPS Electronics
This is the third of my custom build and it is one that has me stumped. The print starts out fine, screen works great, then randomly throughout the prints the LCD will display some random text(I've attached a pic). Shortly after the print stops. The firmware is the same I run on my other two machines(with the exception of autotune values) and they work great. I first assumed it was thermal shuby casperen - RAMPS Electronics
I'm trying to figure out how to get the extruder to raise if I click stop print on the LCD. I'm currently using Marlin v1.1. I did track down the resume/pause commands, they have the following line: static void lcd_sdcard_pause() { //current_position -= 5; card.pauseSDPrint(); } static void lcd_sdcard_resume() { card.startFileprint(); //current_position += 5; } staticby casperen - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Well, I've tried hooking up the extruders like you said, but it doesn't help. Still the right extruder doesn't heat properly.by casperen - Mechanics
If it's not advisable to do it this way, how do people power two all metal hotends through a Ramps board?by casperen - Mechanics
I'm having an issue with my newly built 3d printer heating both extruders to the proper temperature and keeping them there. Here is my setup: ATX 300w power supply. Dual metal 12v 30w hotends Ramps 1.4 with marlin firmware. The left extruder heats pretty quickly and hovers around the 200c mark. The right extruder heats extremely slowly, but it does eventually get there. I can reverse the connecby casperen - Mechanics
Working on my first 3d rpinter build but I've run into a problem. I ordered one of the larger LCD screens 12864 from Folger Tech and I'm having issues getting it working. I have tried a couple of different firmwares I found online and one the I created myself (here is the link:). The screen comes up and displays just fine. I can use the button to get to the menu but I can't scroll using the diaby casperen - Developers
