Think I've found a solution. Have to print it to see if it really is that great, but preview looks beautiful. Clicked the "split" button in an attempt to see what happens with supports and to move a piece around, and the preview drew the piece fine. Can't wait to test print it this evening.by peroz - Slic3r
I started playing with my printer and wanted to print a new extruder body to accomodate the E3D v6 hot end. When I load the model, it shows fine in the "3D" tab, but is missing some layers in "preview". Prints also go bad. It does this for downloaded STL and for exported from Sketchup. This is what it looks like: The preview is fine: This is the thing: What can I do?by peroz - Slic3r
Can anyone identify this driver?by peroz - Reprappers
Wanted to play with current settings on my stepper drivers, but couldn't really identiy them as to know what their Rs is, so I did the next best thing and turned up the Z-axis trimpot by 1/8 of the circle. Now I know what the damn machine wanted to do when it made the noise and none remembered: it rises and lowers the Z axis with great speed. Why does it do that? Well, the noise is gone, so asby peroz - Reprappers
No, extruder is fine. Works while printing, so far without the filament of course.by peroz - Reprappers
QuoteDjDemonD That's definitely motor stalling either too much or too little current or the carriages are binding. Carriages are free and movement is okay during homing or "manual" moving in pronterface and during printing. It just does this for a split second before it starts to print. I'll try playing with current setting pots later today. Or would someone be so kind and film their printer foby peroz - Reprappers
Homing is okay. I can manualy home all three axses with hardly any sound and no vibration. When I oad a gcode file and press print, however, the machine homes nicely, then it does the buzzing and then it's all fun and nice again.by peroz - Reprappers
Not the solution. Went down to 1/4 (in pronterface) of my setting, and it's still like this. What do printers usually do before they go to position and start extruding? My homes, "buzzes" and then "prints" nicely.by peroz - Reprappers
The thing sounds quite violent. What is it? I can "home" and move everything smoothly, just when I initiate printing, there is this loud motor action... Here it is:by peroz - Reprappers

Me again... Cant't even get the DXF from github to convert it to pdf. Can someone tell me how to download the file from github? Edit: Clicked on raw, coppied, pasted to notepad, saved as dxf, openned in librecad.by peroz - General Mendel Topics
Quotevegasloki The difference in the frames are the rear slots on the uprights. On a Rework there are M10 rods and that changed the centerline of the cross rods so the slot is a bit higher and cut a bit wider. Either frame could be made to work by cutting the slots in the uprights where the rods mount. I read it again, slowly, and found the answer I needed. Has anyone got a pdf of the "rewoby peroz - General Mendel Topics
I'm "measuring" the cavities for threaded rods in the sgraber frame pdf file. The ones that house the 380mm rods are 10mm, but the "rear support" ones are 8mm, but the rods are 10mm. Is that ok? Do I just file/sand the frame a little bit or what?by peroz - General Mendel Topics
