Hi
I disabled the servo delay.
//#define PROBE_SERVO_DEACTIVATION_DELAY 300
So the servo is always turned on. It cause some servo jitternig when the Z axis moves down with low speed for probing.
But now it is much better than it was before. The servo moves to the same position, no manual adjustment is necessary.
I read somewhere on this forum that this jittering can be avoided if we connect a

Hi
I made some more tests. The only main difference is that now I used cooling fan for 2 tests. (I did not used it for the previous tests 1-6)

Hi
I think that the little backward movement is caused by the auto bed leveling compensation.
I was thinking about it and my idea is that my extruder is too slow. I think that it's steps per unit is correct, but it's speed is too low compared to the xy movement speed.
Any other idea?

Hi
I checked the exruder. First I removed the hot end and extruded 100mm filamet. It was ok. Than extruded 100mm flament again through the hotend. There was ~3mm difference. I corrected it. But it did not help as you can see from the previous images.
Here are my speed settings:
And here is a video of my 3rd test.

Hi
I have checked the extrusion steps again. A very small correction was necessary.
Then I made some tests ccording to this description: http://wiki.solidoodle.com/flow-rate
But without any success. Pictures attached.
I would appreciate any advice to improve the printing quality.

Hi Gordon
If you mean tune:
Vref = Stepper Motor Max Current x Factor Current x 0.4
Vref = 1.85A X 0.7A x 0.4 = 0.47V
I did this.
But my steppers do not become hot (or at least warm a little bit) at all. As described in several posts.

Hi
Filament size and nozzle diam. is correct in the slicer. I will check the extrusion steps again.
I have made some larger photoes and found another problem.
Offsetting appears on one side of the object.
And surface quality is a usual problem, I hope it will be better with more accurate/higher flow rate. Shell I decrease the layer thickness?

Hi
I have stated to print calibration objects.
Dimensions are more or less accurate, but I have problem with infill on the top layers.
On top of the lower part there are bigger gaps, the higher part of the object is better (here I used higher printing temp. 230C).
And the other problem is that there are also gaps on the side surfaces of the object.
Any advice to reach better quality?

Hi
I use marlin firmware and I have a small problem with servo positioning.
The auto bed leveling function works fine but the rc servo does not position to the same angle between probes.
I use 4 measuring points, the servo arm sometimes moves to the verical position (as intended) but sometimes turns more/less and I have to correct it by hand.
Unfortunately it is random.
Any idea??

Offset appears only in one direction. But stepper settings are the same on X and Y axis.
And I think that the belt tight enough.

Hello
I have just made one of my first prints, but I'm not really satisfied with the results.
The main problem is offsetting, that appears randomly and the size of the offset is also cahanging.
And the othes issue is the surface quality.
I would really appreciate any suggestion.

There is a problem in the code for the feedrates when moving for bed leveling.
#define XY_TRAVEL_SPEED 6000 // X and Y axis travel speed between probes, in mm/min
This is not only used for XY travel but also for Z travel. That is the reason the Z motor stall.
I fixed some things in the code so that the Z moves uses the homing_feedrate a

Hello
I have jut set up the auto bed leveling on my printer.
The single probe (G30) works fine.
But when I try to use multi point probes (G29) the Z motors make a strange noise. They should move the z axis up by a few millimeters, but they are stationary.
here is my config.h
Please Help.

Hi
I'm also working on my first printer and have problems with endstops. So don't be 100% sure that my advice is correct, but might help until you get the final solution from an expert.
I use Marlin and RAMPS 1.4, but only 3 endstops.
Use this endstops:
I think they are similar or identical to your endstops.
I would suggest to check the pinout of the endstop:
and the connection to RAMPS

Hi,
I'm working on my first printer and bumped into a Z home positioning problem.
The X and Y directions ar OK. They move as I excepted and return to the home position when I press the appropriate home (x or y) button in the repetier host.
I have problem only with the Z direction. It moves as intended the end stop stops it moving, but it doesn't return to the home position, just the stepper moto

Hello
I'm a beginner on this forum and in the world of 3d printing, so I might ask something that has already been asked but I need an advice.
I have been reading this forum and the reprapwiki for a while and try to collect the necessary parts for a 3d printer.
I have collected the followings:

Hello,
I'm thinking about to build an own printer and looking for parts.
I found a kit on Aliexpress for a good price.
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ramps-1-4-ULTIMATE-KIT-Smart-LCD-controller-3-Endstop-MK2-1-wiring-set/756406302.html
Is it a reliable seller?
Does anybody have experiences with him?
