Was wondering if anyone as any good techniques through slicer or otherwise to slow printer down when printing final layers? Having issues with objects not cooling fast enough, especially those with peaks. Imagine a pyramid printing fine and then as the print finishes the top layers just get pushed around and deformed. Ive found printing multiple of the object or adding a sacrificial object thats

Welp, I am still at a loss as to why my original RAMPS fried after months of operation...but it seems I was sorely mistaken in what I thought was D1 Diode..I thought it the 2 pins located next to the Chiclet fuses and assumed "removing" diode from the circuit was achieved by removing a jumper from the pins extruding from RAMPS. Wrong ....removed the D1 Diode from underneath stepper driver and vio

Im using a 24v supply (measures at 24.1, that .1 cant be the issue I hope) with a 24v kapton heated bed...I say connected properly because I ran my printer originally for a few months before any issues, but then again I had issues in the end....hopefully this pdf will load for you to see how I have everything connected. My setup is slightly different in that I only have one extruder hooked up and

After using my printer for a couple months I had an Issue as to where my heated bed would start to warm up instantly upon power up and would not stop. After deducing the problem is coming from my ramps I ordered one off of amazon. Upon hook up everything seemed ok but a couple minutes after powering up extruder and heated bed (wish I would have only done one or the other but...) the larger of the

No not at all. Only soldering I did in the whole machine was at hot end, All ramps board connections are pinned wiring harnesses except for where heatbed goes into screw terminals. I just checked over everything again and wiring looks likes its go for launch. Still same problem though.

Im sure I do, printer was working perfectly for 3 months then one morning I fired it up and ran into this problem. Never hurts to triple check wiring I suppose....

I'm having an issue with my heater bed constantly heating. Replaced thermistor just cause I had one on hand and still as soon as printer is powered up heat bed is on and wont shut down. I've thoroughly checked for loose, broken or frayed wires and suspect the ramps board itself, not knowing much about how the polyfuses work. I assume theyre normally closed and open on over amperage? Any input app

I ended up going with Ultimax kit from Ultibots, a bit more money than sourcing everything myself, but it looks like a good kit and its nice to be able to get ahold of someone so easily on the phone whos willing to stand behind their product. Kit should arrive late next week. Glorious things to come!

What is it in a printer that decides maximum printing height? Curious if its limited to frame size or something more complex?

Researching like many and looking to build a prusa i2. Im not able to find a list of electronics - controls, steppers, thermistors etc. Seeming like a ramps is the way to go being this would be my 1st build. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.
