Hi,
apologies, not sure which section of the forum to drop this into.
im using an trigorilla 1.1, marlin 2.0.4.4, tmc2130 i3 clone and it has the discount controller with 2 cables, sdcard and lcd.
to get the tmc2130 working, i had to plug into exp2 (the sdcard slot) and this i thought was fine, as i presently am printing through computer to usb, but i have octoprint setup, working and ready

mine has two connectors, 1 for screen and the other for sdcard. the button/rotary dial has 2 functions, rotating for menu selection, and pressing for a button.
the rotary functions come through the sd cable. to have full functionality both cables must be plugged in.

Printing
ah ha!
i have a formula that works for the x and y, dunno about z... that seems more like magic.
anyway,
if you print a few 30x20x10 mm blocks (so you don't just guess on 1) and then measure them you can recalibrate your x and ysteps/mm
so;
new steps = current steps X (what it should be / what it is)
so, the preset is 78.74, my print was printed at 30mm and it was 29.52mm (average of 3 pri

better bed levelling was the solution!
started from scratch, moved the bed screws to halfway, set the height to a paper thick in the centre, then moved out to the edges and revelled with screw edges and then printing was fine.

won't stop the motors doing what, and when?
my guess is that you don't have the height in the right place, and the nozzle is hitting the bed?

i think, or calibration in general.
after printing beautifully an iPhone case, the phone doesn't fit.
so i printed some (3) 30x20x10 mm oblongs.
and my prints are all pretty much the same.
X, meant to be 30, is 29.52mm
Y, should be 20, and is 19.77mm
Z, should be 10, and is10.18mm
i know i can adjust the xsteps steps etc,
X and Y are 78.74
Z is 2560
but whats the s

that would make sense. I've left the configuration as it came, although it was a diy printer. there must be some variances when following badly written chinglish instructions.
thanks

so, i3 pro b, marlin 1.0.0, using pla at 190 and bed at 75. 0.4 mm hot end, 1.75mm pla
i have spent hours levelling the bed, checking, home, recheck... its perfect! 1 sheet of white paper just grabs the hot end, at 5 positions, centre and extremities.
small prints are ok, i say ok, they look right, they print ok, but they are inaccurate measurement wise, my 20mm cube ranges from 19.71 - 20.10 o
