If I could ask a few dumb questions since I read over this and thought about it for some time. I have a filament out detector and would like to use the mechanics of it (the encoder wheel) with repetier so I can get the slowdown feature instead of using its output which just sets a jam error. I was trying to understand how everything works but for some reason could not get my head around the math.

I was with someone configuring a Duet / PanelDue for the first time and we were looking over things. It wasn't connected to a printer yet but the question was that he did not see any type of Stop or Emergency Stop button, just the pause. Is there a button that would do something like Abort or Stop?

I noticed a difference between the skeinforge slicing and slic3r and think it may make a nice addition if possible to Slic3r. When I print on my makerbot with replicatorg it actually follows a perimeter when moving from one location to another and not printing. I think this helps a lot with stringing created during non printing moves because any stringing that is created is actually on the inside

It must be the bug, because I have disabled the safety in the firmware and using the M302 command and I can't get any extrusion. I am trying to find a way to prime the extruder and also change filament without printing something. Does anyone have a bug fix for the extrude with no movement?

My extruder is tearing up the pla and stopping. Anyone have a rostock extruder made with a MK7 gear and have the correct ratio / steps per E? I think it is going too fast.

I went ahead and tried to print a dummy file and it heated up the extruder then started and the extruder stepper was moving. The test piece of filament is now stuck in there because it ran out. That kind of leads to my original question. What is the procedure for manually feeding filament during changes like this? I can't manually reverse or run forward at this point.

I have a Rostock I built and am trying to test the extruder (cold). I just want to see if I can make it feed the filament up and down by issuing Extrude commands using Pronterface. I see the command saying it is extruding but nothing happens. If I swap the stepper motor connector to the X axis and do a Home command I see the motor turn so I know it is working. I swapped drivers and that did not c

Does anyone have any slic3r or replicatorg / skeinforge configure files for the Rostock? Using pronterface and slic3r and an object located in the center of the bed it wants to print way off to the side and hits the limits. I have to move the object to the bottom left corner and then it prints in the center of the bed on the rostock. I have the bed size set to 200x200x400. Should I change the off

That was it along with the driver current needing to be adjusted. I did not think it was that sensitive. There was one sweet spot where the motors quieted down and operated correctly. Once I built further with the endstops it seems to be working.
If I home then go into pronterface or the lcd to move it first moves up a bit then starts to move in the direction I am telling it to.

Does the modified Rostock firmware support manually moving the X / Y / Z axis with the LCD? I was trying to test the stepper portion before I assembled the rest and as soon as I go into the menu Prepare -> Move Axis then select any of X / Y / Z and press the select button all the motors start rotating, even before I tell it how far to move. They don't sound so good. Is this a firmware problem
