Gorilla glue works really well. You can find it at the local hardware store. make sure to test it out on some things first, and use sparingly. It expands as it cures, just don't plan on removing that rod once the glue starts to set!

Ooooh, good one! You mean looking at sharper corners vs. large radii etc...?
Another idea similar I had was to print at whatever speed you can, but lift Z, then position the nozzle outside the parts walls and dwell for x number of seconds to allow cooling, then move over the part, lower Z and "wipe" over to the starting point of the next layer (to remove fuzzies).

Thanks traumflug, and yes, it's a bit goofy as I don't use endstops, and my pins are all re routed from when I was trying some other stuff. But, alas I've fixed it, sort of. I had to define a seperate thermistor table for the heated bed to match my thermistor, then I started getting better temp readings. The sort of in my statement is, Once it reaches the programmed temp, it will shut off, and

Hey traum, yep, tried sending manually M140 S0 as well as clicking heater off icon. Nothing turns it off once its on. It only comes on when a m140 call is sent, but it will not go off unless i reset the board?

Ok, so I've been running one of our H-1's with a ramps setup off and on for a while now. Putting on my heated bed now. Problem I'm having is, I now have no fan control, and I can set bed temp, and turn it on, but cannot shut it off? Seems like it waits a few seconds after turning it on, then the LED comes on and I have 12v on D8, but I cannot shut it off?

Hey Dean, John here from SeeMeCNC again. Mach does have some advantages doesn't it? Now, that siad, the guys coding all the firmware/host software are catching up, AND FAST! I don't know if it's natural progression or what, but they have come a LONG way in the last 6 months or so I think.
We are starting to ship with the 4 axis toshiba boards now for our Mach3 setups, but are working out a

gald, .stl files are the "preffered format" for 3d printing. If you have a CNC, i'd say it's safe to assume you have some sort of CAD software. If yours can import an .stl, open it up (remember, most things are in mm not inches) and you should be able to lay down a good wireframe over it. Many CAD packages have a function to create 2d lines on the edges of 3D objects.

Sorry, just now saw this. All of our .stl's are available on our wiki page here at SeeMeCNC wiki. Thanks for the comments

We are now selling motors, power supplies, and New hot-ends for 3mm filament for our machines as well as yours. The new style 3mm hot end has a one nut mounting feature, makes for easy removal and maintenance. Could be adapted to your x-carriage. Also we now have teflon tubing in stock for replacing your liners. More to come, even an H-2?

Nevermind, Figured it out. Change the "allow_minimum_blah_etc..." to allow moves both greater than and less than the home switches, and Now I can jog in both directions. I actually had it playing imperial march on the xy and z motors tonight! (gotta love CNC_Music_Factory adn midi2cnc.py)
Thanks anyways, I'm sure I'll have more Q's that I won't fix as fast sooner or later.

glrra19, that's what's left of the "outline" pass, the first moves of the print are a box shape around the outside of where it will print. It's nice to use it, cause you can see where on the table it's going to print, as well as see if your first layer is sticking well. So, I pulled the part off and it left the outline bead still on the tape.
Oh, BTW, we are going to be at the Cedar Rapids Min

Ok, so def. new to the arduino controlled route for CNC printers. But, I have the firmware loaded, and using sprinter I can Jog the axes one direction, not the other. I don't have endstops, and don't want them. I want to be able to jog the machine to a certain point, then "teach" it that it is at zero, by sending it G92X0Y0Z0 etc...
I'm pretty sure my problem has to do with endstops, and the

Of course you can! Any 3 axis CNC controlled "bot" (if you must call it that) can be a 3D printer. the only changes are in the "tool", instead of a router, or some other rotary cutter/laser/waterjet etc..., just put an extruder in it's place. Very simply, you can use the spindle on/off Mcodes to turn the extruder on/off for starters, and work your way up to adding an additional "axis" to be ca
