The username you chose aries420 also implies that you have other "hobbies" that you are willing to spend money on? Anybody else catch that one, or just me?

Well, OK guys. Its a plan then. Heres what we are thinking so far
Location:
Goshen, Indiana
We have an awesome 1800's era brick factory that a friend runs his plastic company in. Hes offering us use of part of his building. Itll be pretty cool, ill post a pic of the building later tonight.
We have electric and internet available there.
Date:
TBD but im thinking end of march/ early april? What

Does your PS have a 5v output? Sometimes it helps to load the 5V lines to get a good output on the 12V. It's worth a shot? Maybe take some automotive bulbs (1156) and wire them up to the 5v line. Yes, they won't light bright or be an ideal load, but it should be a start. If that helps, then do the math and put about a 4-5 amp load on it using other bulbs or resistors etc...

RAMPS Electronics
Hey Bronzies, take a look at the following two pics.
What helped w/mine was
1. Configuration.h file, set motehrboard to 33 (RAMPS 1.3 and 1.4 have similar pin defs)
2. Pins.h file, if you scroll down to where mobo 33 is, RAMPS, I uncommented out the line that said RAMPS_V1_3
Now, at least pronterface can connect to my board. I can jog the x, y and z axes but only in one direction, and still

Well, looks like there's some interest in it. We'll be thinking about doing it for sure, so what would you guys like to see the format be. A big open space with tables and power? Maybe see if we can get some guests from the reprap gurus, ???

So, would anyone be interested this spring in coming to Northern Indiana for a get-together? We have a few opportunities to use some decent spaces, and have some community space to do it. I think it would be great to do a weekend thing, maybe get some new guys to have a chance to get some hands on with some of you experienced types out there. We can provide a pretty decent set up with internet

We're thinking of hosting a 3Dprinter "rally" here in Northern Indiana this spring. We're about 2hrs. from Chicago, by South Bend, IN. We have a few of our members up there in waterloo area and similar, check our yahoo group page and look for them in the directory Here.

Hello bronzies, wish I could help. I have a similar problem. I have a RAMPS_1.4 and have sprinter FW uploaded. When I use replicatorG control panel, I can start to jog my axes, then after 10 sec. or so, motors become unresponsive. They are in a hold state, power is applied to them, just can't jog anymore. The disable button shuts power down to them, but enable doesn't bring them back "online

Hey there nefermu, John here from SeeMeCNC
For a Mach3 based printer like ours, you will need to be able to control 4 axes. you can do this like we are, using a very inexpensive 3 axis board, similar to THIS. We use a 3 axis version we source directly and an EasyDriver for the extruder stepper.
Once you have 4 axis control worked out, you then need a power supply. We supply an ATX PSU that

I thought I'd post a few pics of what the machine is capable of printing. This was printed on our $350 machine kit, that inlucdes all the elctronics used. I use Mach3 for controlling my machine, but others are using EMC2 with as good of results. I've seen some RAMPS machines print as good and better! I still have some tweaking to do, but it's pretty dang amazing for a $350 kit!

Also, we will be offering up misc. parts/pieces from our shop that alot of you guys might find useful. I just put up a bag of PEEK with 1/2" and 3/8" pieces, ends of bars from our production run of barrels and mounts. This stuff's pretty expensive, and there's some useful pieces there, just not for us. Check it out, it's under "Scraps and Scrapes"

The NEW SeeMeCNC website
We have many new options for kits, from plastic parts only, parts and hardware only, parts and hardware and steppers,, extruders only, hot-ends only, nozzles, resistors/thermistors, acrylic build platforms etc...
We don't currently offer any arduino based electronics, as we are keeping our more conventional CNC approach and using Mach3 as our software. So if you want

Nope, thats the crappy video feed recording. As for retract, mach3 can do a retract and gcode controls it. Its customizable from skeinforge with the alterations file,, or a custom M05 code file in mach3
Thanks again

Legion, want me to show you how? Check out seemecnc.com and some of the youtube videos on our channel. We have over 100 kiys "in the wild" with most being mach3 based. Its really not that hard to do. We have a yahoo group with over 100 members now, they all pitch in too, as were all mach guys, it was more prominent there than here we figured?

Geoff, john here from SeeMeCNC
I have modified replicatorG and skeinforge to work with mach3. These programs are easily modified to output whatever you want to use for extruder control. We arr usimg M3/M5 for extruder on/off just like a spindle. If you want to know more, just ask. As for a forum, we have a rather large yahoo grouo started already by a user. Dean, If you are refering to Gnexlabs and Nuri, I am talking to him about his mach3 plugin actually. Also, we're going to be working on a way to integrate temp control auto start/stop with the boards we are using. Our kits can be used with an arduino in place of the board as well, if you choose!
Thanks,
John

I would like to point out that mach3 does SOOOO much more than that. Does arduino have a VGA display, that you can see in realtime what all (up to six) axes are doing, movement, position, speed etc..? Mach can also generate some basic 2D toolpaths right in the software itself! Take that, and some good gcode skills, and make a 2D print build UP with a subroutine called program.

Hey schorhr, John here from SeeMeCNC.
Did you know that we've been braodcasting live everyday for about two weeks now? I'm dialing in on the skeinforge settings as we speak, so people can use replicatorG's awesome software for the "CAM" side of our toolchain. I believe the print quality is in the skeinforge (or whatever CAM software you intend to use), just like in anything else CNC related.

Well, this one got a little de-railed, so i'll try and steer it back on track.
Here's a link to our Youtube/Seemecnc channel. I just posted a Part 1 and Part 2 video real quick, showing how we're using some modified replicatorG/skeinforge software to generate the G-code, and video of mach3 running that code. You'll see for yourself, it's soooo nice having a visual toolpath display and those bi

I'd LOVE to do a live web-show, showing a mach3 setup and the advantages i see compared to a "blind" control interface. You can watch the screen as it prints and see all sorts of info which can help dial in a certain print for one.
As for this printing being only 2D over and over again? Well, the 3D toolpaths we've been laying down to make smooooooth organic sculpted curves are impossible with

Take a look at some of the calibration "plots" we did when we first got our machine set up, check out SeeMeCNC Imgaes and look for the paper plots. These were done with mach3 as the control, but you could hand write some g-code, or there are many ways to make the g-code that I think would work.

Only a few days left for the indiegogo.com campaign.
Side note, there have been alot of peoplebasking if you can use an arduino with our kits. YES, you just need our 100 plastic parts and hardware kit. You will get all the nuts and bolts too for everything, including the extruder. You will need two 6.8 ohm resistors and a 100k ohm thermistor, or your values for your arduino setup, and the extr

Dean, thanks!
Some of the advantages i have seen so far is if you are inro cnc machines of other typea, this is control software is awesome! One interface to learn and use with all your cncs. Another point, arduino isnt "free", the code is. You will spend $200 on an arduino setup and still not have all the functionality that mach3 has, like DROs, multiple fixture and tool "offsets" for differ

Mach3
Hello all, John oly here from the SeeMeCNC crew. I have asked that this Mach3 3 forum be added so that we all can share how we are using Mach3 to control our 3D printers.
I look forward to contributing all of the information we have found to use mach3 with our H-1 printer kits, as well as learning others tricks.
Thanks,

Thanks Viktor, also, is there any way to set up a call or chat sometime about other reprap.org additions, or would there be someone I could email/talk to about it? I want to get our info up on here, but this is the first i've been on here.
Thanks,

How would I go about requesting a new main forum under software for mach3? I see other similars listed, but as we're going with mach3, I thought it'd be nice to have a forum there to show how we're doing it?
