I am building a version of D-Bot with a platform of 200x300mm. My bed heater has arrived and just has, what I assume are solder pads to connect to.
What is the recommended way to connect heater cables to this type of bed?

During a print under Machine Status, Drive 1, is showing 0.0
Should this be showing the total amount of filament extruded?
or something else?

I am in the process of printing all the parts needed and have purchased all of the other items. I will be using an Ormerod designed extruder and plan to have 3 extruders and a diamond hotend in the future.
I will build everything first with a single extruder and then see how best to mount the extra extruders and perhaps a facility to hold 3 reels of filament.
One problem I am having is tapping q

The ending script is where I have had a procedure to lift the hotend by 5mm and then park the head at X30 Y210.
If I don't do this the hotend sits at the last G1 command, melting the extruded plastic.
I have just done the move to X30 Y210 without raising the hotend and sometimes it has dragged plastic.
So are we really saying that if I want to raise the hotend automatically at the end of a print

Just to let you know that since upgrading to firmware 1.10+4, I have not had a disconnection, so that looks as if it is now solved, thank you.
I have noticed another small problem with reporting.
On the Print Status page of the web control, the extruder Drives, Drive 1 is not displaying any information and is stuck on 0.0

The problem is the G1 Z5 command in your end gcode, which makes the firmware think the object height is 5mm. I suggest you move it and the surrounding G91/G90 commands into a macro file, and invoke that macro instead.
I see what you mean, thanks.
I am using simplify3d and that code is in the ending script.
If I made a macro and called it ending, do I just put ending in the script, a

I have just ordered and am printing parts for a coreXY machine.
I would like to use my spare duet v6 and duex4 to run the machine.
I need advise on setting a config file?
I know that I will need to change the steps per mm for XY and Z, I am intending to use the ormerod extruders.
The Z direction will be operated by 2 Nema 17 motors with 8mm lead screws. I seem to remember dc42 suggesting that t

I am printing a plate of items that have different heights.
At the moment the web control is reporting 52% complete, Layer 27 of 21 Filament Usage: 19129 of 36755
looking at the gcode file the last Z entry is :-
G1 Z30.400 F2000
; layer 125, Z = 30
this is a very long file, the above entry is at line 357023
This is where the reporting stopped, line 312263
G1 Z21.040 F2000
; layer 86, Z = 20.6

I like the idea of the core XY but am confused by the variety of designs out there.
I am thinking of a 200 x 300 mm bed with a stable diamond hotend with 3 bowden extruders for colour mixing.
I will only be printing PLA but need to keep the overall design size as small as possible in the X and Y direction.
The x carriage should be strong and stable enough to handle the diamond hotend.
I will be u

Attached is a modified z motor brace that takes cap head bolts for attaching to the profiles.

Did you have any thoughts on this error?

Thank you for the update.
I have tried to upload it to my ormerod using the Web interface and I get this error:-

Yes I know I could set it in firmware but that is not practical if you want to change the mix on the fly or indeed have a different mix for another print.
I suppose this concept is very new and all the development so far has been on single and multiple hot ends, not a single hot end with 3 extruders.

Yes the edge is the same version as you, I wonder if I have some settings different that could affect this.
Just tried again with the same results.
I'll just use chrome.

I am in the early days of using a diamond mixing hot end and have found the slic3r manual to be out of date and does not show the details for the latest stable release 1.2.9.
I can not find anywhere the correct procedure for combining stl files but have managed by trial and error produce a stl file of a vase in 3 colours.
What I am unsure of is if I have done it correctly.
I can not find any way

I was using edge in windows 10, I have just tried again and it will not show the data.
But good news, using chrome I have just updated the web interface from 1.10 to 1.11 by just dropping the zip file onto the Upload files button on the settings page.-----very impressive
next I will see if the firmware update works.
great job from both dc42 and Christian

I will be using a diamond hotend for some prints and a thought occurred to me that the time estimates and completion %, based on filament usage might not work with multiple extruders
Looking through a gcode file, produced by slic3r for 3 extruders and one heater, I noticed that the filament used is listed for each extruder:-
; filament used = 148.9mm (0.4cm3)
; filament used = 132.2mm (0.3cm3)

Tried your beta3 firmware and I still have the same result.
On the print screen, as soon as I confirm which a file to print, the %completion is 100% and all of the detailed boxes are at 0.
I am using windows 10 and the new browser and slicing is with simplyfy3d.
This is very strange.

Just thought you would like some feedback.
I was using dc42's firmware and web control 1.08 before and had no disconnection problems.
With your 1.09x-ch I have had many disconnections - ajax error
Also, the print status detail is not being updated, I can only get Print Duration updated after a page refresh or reconnection.
I am using simply3d.
The old web control/firmware worked well.

I have used a full reel of black and was very pleased with the quality from excelvan, I have had all sorts of problems with white PLA and have ordered a reel from excelvan I expect it to be as good as the black.
