Cool, thanks. I'm going to take a look into your values. My printer is printed quite nice in this moment, it is just that stringing thing that I dont remember from my old Makerbot printer. But that's allby eried - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteGeorgeL16 #define DEFAULT_XYJERK 2.0 // CL: For HIC i3, was =20, (mm/sec) #define DEFAULT_ZJERK 0.4 // (mm/sec) #define DEFAULT_EJERK 5.0 // (mm/sec) --- What that does in the hictop? I made my own configuration too, the only problem I am getting is with the bridges, for example if I print a 1x1 cm cube the top layer starts very crappy, stringby eried - Prusa i3 and variants

I have a similar issue but I think is because my bed is a bit bent. Maybe you can try rising the #define AUTO_BED_LEVELING_GRID_POINTS 3 value to something extreme like 5 or more and check if the same happens.by eried - Prusa i3 and variants

I have the hictop prusa i3 aluminium extrusion, really good for the price. It gave me a lot of work but now it is printing perfectly.by eried - Reprappers
I ended buying a 1000 mm X-Carve. Very happy with it! still not much work done, just learning a lot about cnc software and stuffby eried - CNC Routers, Mills, and Hybrid RepRapping

I have ordered 4 beds because of this... and I am thinking on machining it down too. It might be the only way to get a fully flat surface however I am unsure of what it is going to happen because the thermal impact when heating after it is flat, it might bend again?by eried - Prusa i3 and variants

Quote I guess the only way to tell is to do a test print with and without ( i can do that with my prusa i3 now already), even though i am confident that the upgrade does just as much to the precision of your parts as to the looks of it. Certainly. In my opinion the nut will even add resistance to the rotation. Which is your theory behind auto-leveling being affected by backlash?by eried - Reprappers
Hi The original design of the hictop prusa i3 I bought used 3 aluminium pillow linear bearings and 4 mounting points for the heated bed. I switched to 4 linear bearings and 3 mounting points for the bed and the results are amazing! it is so smooth now (at least compared to my ancient makerbot/3 bearings setup): I printed the linear bearing pillows because I only had 3 aluminium ones. Also I zby eried - Reprappers

The ABP used in the thingomatic was intended to solve this issue but it was shit. But thats a good idea to start thinkering:by eried - General
I use Tamiya Molybdenum Grease in my old Makerbot and it still runs smooth (but this uses bushings not bearings). I am not sure about how it runs on linear bearings but I will be using it too for the prusa soonby eried - Reprappers
With my old makerbot I had a lot of issues with delamination... and I remember reading that solution somewhere but I ended creating the pieces in a way that the strength requirements are higher in the x y axis. Now I noticed that the pieces printed by my prusa are much stronger, made me think about increasing the temperature of the makerbot, and that helped a lot!by eried - General
Quotebizit524 sorry for the extremely late response! ha didn't know that was you. i have already found most of your designs on thingiverse and have printed some. I just actually finished printing your z axis hictop version for threaded screws when mine come in, However I have not found that anybody has designed a z axis part which includes threaded portion on z AND X. Maybe the bed is not completely flat? And since the autolevel might not be perfectly configured it might mess something. Do you have access to the original configuration.h file? You can increase the autolevel points and also adjust the probe positionby eried - Reprappers
What happened to this? There was better designs submitted?by eried - Bounties
As others say the best you can do is to take notes of the settings from the printer right now and recreate the configuration.h file. To extract the hex you can use a cheap USB programmer like usbasp (check eBay) and plug it into the icsp of your printer board.by eried - General
