Had a very similar issue it seems silly and obvious after the fact but try some 3:1 oil on your smooth rods, I did and mine stopped the issue immediatelyby jasperash - Printing
Are you using the heat sink fan with the extruder? I keep the fan that came with my e3d mkV on durning all printing which keeps the hotend hot and the aluminum heat sink coldby jasperash - Printing

im not sure how to look back into the code, im more looking at probable pysical issues, at first i was noticing alot of wigglyness, my bed and build platform was starting to loosen up, i tightend that up and made sure my glass is clipped on securely. watching the tool path on pronterface the machine thinks its going along correctly the usb cable is only like 3ft longby jasperash - Reprappers
ive gotten alot of my printing issues hammered down, but now during prints it seems to just shift along the y axis about 4.8mm, sorry took pic with caliper set to inches my belts are all tight, not making any odd noises while printing, i tried printing an i3 y corner, it made it like 10 layers up then shifted, this i3 carriage was sometime during the 2nd layer im using my i2 running sprinter prby jasperash - Reprappers

ok so an update i got an electrician co-worker to solder in a new mosfet for the hot end, i made sure it was the same part, but am still having the same out of control heat problem so my new question would be for my printrboard could i switch some settings around so that i use the heated bed port for the hotend, and just not have a heated bed? so the board would only be able to print pla so to sby jasperash - Reprappers
Don't know much about the diffs but here's the i3 bom There are tons of i3 plastic kits available on eBay, that's a fast way of getting some, when I built my i2 I commissioned someone I found on Craigslist to print up my parts. To be honest I have been drooling over an i3 for a while, it's just a long process for me because I want to reuse as much as possible from my i2by jasperash - Reprappers
Print up parts for an i3 box frame, find a local friend to cut up the wood parts, that is my plan once I get my i2 running enough to printby jasperash - Reprappers
Does anyone have or can make like a 1:1 scale PDF of the prusa single frame and bed? I'd like to print it out then use as template for cutting a frame myselfby jasperash - General Mendel Topics
I really just think it over heated and blew, the pins on the molex connectors had actually melted the connection, other than an active cooling on the molex or mosfets I don't know any other solution, I can't be the only one running a printrboard that's had this issue beforeby jasperash - Reprappers

just dry fit my shiny new e3d v5 all metal beauty, one major flaw is that the fan mount blocks either one of the 2 mounting bolts with my i2's carrage anyone else with an e3d have this issue/ know a solution?by jasperash - Reprappers
thanks, i dont notice anything else overtly wrong, the 4 pin connector its associated with, 2 outside pins are a little toasty looking but still put out power, im assuming that means only the mosfet may be bad?by jasperash - Reprappers
Running a prusa i2 with printrboard, pins that the extruder power plugs into overheated and the plastic connector melted. Have replaced connector but now out of control heating happens even when I have extruder set to off. Thermistor still functions. I recently upgraded from a standard jhead with resistor to e3d5 with heating cartidrige with same results. Anyone know solution? And even a solutiby jasperash - Reprappers

i placed my order saturday, havent heard word one also no answer on phone, email, even tried private messaging sanjay on this forum all in all im pretty displeased, is it just one person working there?by jasperash - Reprappers
the small hex screw is for the top of the j head, it tightens down the ptfe tube into the hot end, dont over tighten it tho possible solutions is that they sent you the wrong resistor? i got mine from makerfarm and the resistor i got from them fit just rightby jasperash - Reprappers
hey, was wondering if anyone has ordered from e3d-online, any reviews on customer support? ive tried emailing a few times with no responseby jasperash - Reprappers
