without wasting filament you mean you shouldnt speak without knowing what you are talking about the other guy is just a jackass no other way around it makes me not even want to talk on this community if its trash like that. I wasted a spool and a half of filament before posting.by merchant1307 - General

What gcode should I use in the start code to lift z axis after bed levelling? I've tried both of these and neither seemed to work. G91 ; use relative positioning for the XYZ axes G1 Z1 F3600 ; move 1mm above the current location G90 ; use absolute positioning for the XYZ axes M851 Z0.4 ; lift z axis My nozzle is about .6mm too low after it autolevels. I've edited firmware and none of it altersby merchant1307 - General
I'm new to 3d printing and still calibrating things like overextrusion however I would like to hear what people have optimal results with. Would prefer cura screenshots but settings will work. I'd like to know about all kinds of nozzles since I will be using all kinds. Post what nozzle size and settings you have optimal results with on it. I still need to learn good settings for .4.by merchant1307 - General
if I had a wall width of .8mm printing with 1mm printhead if I gave my lines a .4mm interior and exterior shell to cover the .8mm would this calculate my walls accuratly? I'd be using 3dsmax and removing the shell before printing. Also, what is the recommended width for 1mm nozzle I hear they extrude wider than the nozzle then I also see recommendations below nozzle size.by merchant1307 - Printing
It's only recognizing outer wall ignoring all internal geometry to form the tube for a lighter to socket into. It may be because the skull isnt closed to ill try that.by merchant1307 - General
Whats Wrong with this print? Before completing the circle the extruded plastic gets thinner in width then when it completes the circle and is back in the start position it starts rising for another layer while rising for this layer it extrudes a dot of plastic in that area.by merchant1307 - Printing
Ok thanks; hopefully that is what needed to be replaced was thinking of just selling the board.by merchant1307 - Printing
Plexer could you be more specific in items I looked around and tehre seems to be multiple things that are similar. could you show me some model names or soemthing. The molex connectors dont look like something that fits the ramps board; thats why I'm asking there seems to be different types of 4 pin connectors. "This" is supposed to be "these" as in stepper motors like nema 17 being wired to raby merchant1307 - Reprappers
If I were to wire this to ramps the commonly done methods if my motors had open end cords (no 4 pin connector) what am I looking to buy exactly to stick on the end of the wires there seems to be a few different models. What gauge are these wires commonly used on nema 17s? Can the motor be wired to the ramps commonly done method without a 4 pin connector? (My current printer is on melzi thinkingby merchant1307 - Reprappers

what exactly is the mosfit that would require replacing what would I buy? If the melzi boards fixable I can try I have soldering tools to do it with if thats whats required.by merchant1307 - Printing
messed up my original extruder heater/thermal replaced it. now i am getting constant power to hot end as soon as printer turns on wont stop heating without trying to heat it. power on melzi board also overheated and burned the connectors; no idea whats wrong.by merchant1307 - Printing

are these compatible to put onto a 3d printer and be functional?by merchant1307 - Reprappers
i'm starting to see all kinds of problems with this printer this problem I got somewhat better by forcing the bar through the nut many times as well as cleaning both of them and then lubricationby merchant1307 - Reprappers
my heatbed is seeming to not want to heat up to the temp it needs to be at (staying in the 60s) and my extruder is showing similar behaviour at wanting to stay below what i put it at and not print, it also had the motors on the x axis trying to keep pushing it towards the left where there is no stopper so i had to reset it to stop that; as well as and it doesnt seem to want to start printing in tby merchant1307 - Reprappers
does anyone know the list of materials (bars / screw / nuts) names for the hesine 505? theres a few other names for this printer it seems to be somewhat common and maybe a newer/current model I'm wanting to know the threading names etcby merchant1307 - Reprappers
does anyone know the printer machine settings/head size/entire part for cura for the hesine m-505? If there is other vital settings I'd like to know those too. Can anyone point me in the right direction for auto bed levelling on this model as well?by merchant1307 - Reprappers
The axis that goes up and down is having problems for me the side with the motor the threaded metal bar that goes into the 3d printed piece it seems to be stuck or jamming inside of the metal piece with female threading what should i do replace the metal piece or is this side normally rougher? does it need to be calibrated to work better how do i go about doing these properly for the up and dowby merchant1307 - Reprappers
