I have the one with the big bed and its frame is quite strong but... the bed is an issue with the 12v supply. Takes very long to heat for abs

Cool, good luck!
Here is an improved fan too:
I made it to avoid losing the airflow thru sides (the seal of the original one was not perfect)

If you have leadscrews it should be about 400, otherwise is about 2560, it depende on the he you have. I think 384 is not correct either.

Sure, here are all the files I modified:
Download the latest marlin firmware and replace those. I modified some other parts to improve the user experience of the hictop printer, for example the encoding wheel was very imprecise and when I pushed it sometimes was choosing another option, etc

@VDX - This is what I was afraid of not being able to extract it.
@hoxsiew -I will however its not like they are refusing to give it to me, the literally just dont respond. In a sense it is refusing they did that with the STL files I asked for, for the original 3d printed parts. Really annoying
@eried - I have the aluminum version as well! could you send them to me? Yeah I saw the

I have the aluminium prusa i3 from hictop and they provided the complete marlin files, but I had to modify some stuff. I think they don't really know how to configure the machine because the steps per mm for the extruder where a bit wrong, same as some of the autoleveling things

Do you have an example of what you use? I tried with several settings and the nugget is always there! not that is an annoyance but It would be cleaner without it

Hi,
Any way to avoid the little "tail" remainder after the printer finishes? In cura I tried to increase the X Y motion on the gcode end code but it is still happening :/

Yes, I am aware about the conservation of the volume, however is fairly different for the slicer. I noticed that my prints improved a lot after setting 0.9mm as nozzle but I am still trying to hit the sweet spot

Hey thanks for answering. I discovered that the nozzle is actual y between .9 and 1 mm! Using some drill bit set. How did you calculated the 191 mm string? I want to check the nozzle size exactly

Hi!
I am printing with cura and the adhesion is quite bad, if I clean the nozzle it sticks but if I leave it for the initialization (auto-level, etc) the extruded filament just sticks to the nozzle and curls up. This is my start code:
;Sliced at: {day} {date} {time}
;Basic settings: Layer height: {layer_height} Walls: {wall_thickness} Fill: {fill_density}
;Print time: {print_time}
;Filament us

I checked it in several places and it is impressively precise, almost always 1.75 or 1.76 mm. The seller of the printer told me to see the "fill" settings to extrude more plastic. I am going to try to buy a better filament too this week to try

still no improvements... im thinking the extrusion is not very consistent :/ maybe the pla is not a good one... it was the cheapest one from ebay

Hello, I am finishing my prusa i3 calibration and the prints come almost OK, the walls have a weird effect (holes?) and I am wondering if someone expert in pla can tell me what is the issue. I have tested 2 filaments with the same effect (the natural pla also curls)
Hictop prusa i3
temp 220 / bed 60
speed 50 mm/s, tested in cura/slic3r with the same result
PLA 1.75 mm natural and green

There are some OFFSET settings inside the Configuration.h file, below the auto-leveling section start. You may check these.

I had an old Makerbot and never really thought about auto-levelling even when my platform was not completely flat:
But I am now trying to make a chinese prusa i3 work and I am pleased with the automatic levelling. I am not sure if the bed it is slighty bend because the pressure the springs put on it, but when checking with a metallic ruler there are small imperfections and the auto-levelling dea

The board is arduino mega 2560. The port is the last one usually, not com1 nor com2.

I am not sure sketchup can run without install, like copying the whole folder from another machine but that would be the best alternative, maybe a sketchup portable?. As far as online converters I don't know any good for that task :/

Excelente, una duda que dimensiones tiene el soporte de la heated bed de la imagen ?
Donde la compraron? Mi prusa que aun no funciona venia con un soporte de "lata" bastante poco rígido :/

In newer versions of sketchup you don't need to be admin to install plugins, just copy it to
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp \SketchUp\Plugins

I think by default the chinese linear bearings are not quite smooth. When assembling my printer I notice some balls floating in the bag too and I asked the seller and he sent me some replacements but the difference is not noticeable so maybe they are just shit and some bearing are expected to fall

Thanks! however I was looking for a way to do this in the machine itself, but I guess I can upload the firmware and test until it prints correctly.

Hi, I am fairly new to marlin and prusas, however I have experience with old markerbot's firmware. I installed an induction probe in my hictop prusa i3 (it was the old model without autolevel from factory). Setting the height seems to be quite an art, in all my attempts I have been scratching the bed or roaming miles away the bed...
1) Is there a quick way to force some Z offset from the printer

Hic support also provides instructions for this, with pictures etc. You just have to ask the right thing
