I think I can conclude the Duet is now working! I uploaded all the relevant files through the web frontend and now it is not shutting down any more. So your help was invaluable. Warping and fixing the print to the Kapton surface is next challenge. I think I will need to resolder the broken hot plate. Thanks again for all your work! You are being watched :-)by efraimalexander - Duet
The software upgrade improved the situation and printing halted after approx 45 minutes. Unrecoverable. Power cycled four times before yellow led came alive. Did I do the complete upgrade correctly? When I run M122 the website says the response is too slow. It has not improved. Why is the network (FTP HTTP serial port) and network socket stopped?by efraimalexander - Duet
That was an interesting explanation and suggestion. I managed to upgrade to 2.05 by downloading and installing the "Duet2Firmware-2.05.zip" from the web frontend. Tried printing and the machine stopped after 9 min 24 s. Blue and red diod but nothing more happening. Hard reset eventually restored the machine. Is there a similar zip-package for 2.05.1 or should I use the "Duet2CombinedFirmware.bin"by efraimalexander - Duet
Most recent print lasted 47 seconds. I had the serial USB cable removed. After toggling the power switch twice no communication working. Turning off and pushing the X-cart back and forth and turning on power returns the services. How does this make sense?by efraimalexander - Duet
I am seeing intermittent power loss when the printer and communication dies. Blue and red led remains on but ethernet is not lit anymore. Serial and ethernet communication remain interrupted. I have an Ormerod2 refitted with a Duet Maestro Ethernet. Board: Duet Maestro 1.0 Firmware: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 Maestro 2.03 (2019-06-13b2) I am using the Duet Web Control 2.07 I can print for 10 mby efraimalexander - Duet
Yes, this sounds even better. I have an Ormerod 2. Did you capture the details, step by step? Or is it very easy? Any worries with regards to voltage for the stepping motors?by efraimalexander - Ormerod
My Duet V0.6 died after the m-USB came off. Anyone who has tried a direct swap for a Duet 2 Ethernet, v1.04 or even a Duet 2 Wifi, v1.04? Are they compatible? I have tried to communicate directly on RX/TX using an FTDI USB cable but without success. Anyone else who have tried communication with m-USB port torned off?by efraimalexander - Ormerod
I upgraded the firmware on my Ormerod2 to RepRapFirmware-104-02-02-2015.bin and swapped the files on the SD card for new ones. I changed the vital settings such as my machine's name and IP address. I noticed initially that motor accelerations were different. Noticeably was the extruder motor very, very slow. And later became completely unresponsive. I swapped cables on the Duet to confirm the moby efraimalexander - Ormerod
It's interesting. I have only had the Ormerod 2 since this autumn and I have only consumed one roll of PLA. The extruder has been at 200 C at top and still the fan appears fried. It was always very noisy. I have checked old photos and the fan label was towards the inside so the fan was operating correctly and blowing / pushing air through the heat sink rather than pulling. Now I have ordered twoby efraimalexander - Controllers
Are you referring to an JST connector perhaps? I need to replace a fan and I am looking for instructions on how to disconnect without distroying the 6-lead JST socket on my Ormerod2. Anyone who knows and can share some trixs?by efraimalexander - Controllers
