Well done great have the wiki backup for documentation!by AndrewD - RAMPS Electronics
It would be good if everyone put a location in their sig, I've used several forums where that is compulsory. Makes it easy to connect locally and ask where someone got a part etc...by AndrewD - United Kingdom RepRap User Group
Damn! Can I change my DIY order I just made with the 1.4 RAMPS?by AndrewD - For Sale
Had a few issues with DHL/fedex etc banging a charge on for UK vat 20% and then a £25 handling charge for items! Think we will stay out the euro for while, though I wish we were in as I spend a month or so each year in mainland Europe. Still ordered, invoiced and paid for plus some filament so I'm getting close to having all the bits, probably about 95% sorted, just choice of heated bed (PCB oby AndrewD - For Sale
I'm placing an order for stainless rod and threaded, but I thought the spec had changed on one of the lengths? There is no update history on the wiki BOM, so I don't know if I'm ordering the correct cutting list... I'm usingby AndrewD - General

Ordered, fits in with my 1.4 question and getting back from Holiday in France, all good! Do I have to pay vat as it's exported to the uk?by AndrewD - For Sale
I've been doing the same over the last few days. If you read the wiki you will get links to places to buy like Zappautomation but I ordered yesterday the steppers from thingfarm in the uk and I've got a set of plastics from Nophead on eBay. Only after getting these have I realised that his parts are considered very good, I'd send him a PM and reserve yourself a set. I'll keep an eye out on hereby AndrewD - Reprappers

It's been your kit I've been looking at on eBay! I'll put an order in direct, what's the waiting time for 1.4?by AndrewD - RAMPS Electronics
I've ordered my plastic parts, steppers, belts and bearings and I've got an order in for stainless Fasteners, rod & studding. I'm now left trying to sort the electronics and bed. I've seen a few kits on eBay and some are 1.2 and others are 1.3, now there is 1.4! Should I be worried about getting the latest 1.4 or stick with 1.2 or 1.3? Same applies to the MEGA there is the option of the 128by AndrewD - RAMPS Electronics
Yours was a thread I gravitated to as I'm just beginning to build, good to read your sorted (fingers crossed!) as it gives confidence to others like me! What voltage are your steppers up to now?by AndrewD - General
Great to know there is someone localish! Local stockist is Apex Fasteners in Ajax Avenue, they are fantastic and will sell you anything from 1 washer to a van load and are VERY cheap! There are also a couple of bearing stockists locally too, well living next to the largest industrial estate in Europe can have it's bonuses...by AndrewD - General
Luckily I have a good fastener stockist in Slough, so I'm getting stainless stock and bits cheap, I'll get plain, nylock and some star washers plus I've got some loctite for pipes that's out of this world asa thread lock. Glad it was not a totally stupid question, I'm sure there will be!by AndrewD - General
Just wondered why we don't use nylock nuts? Looks like it would make my new Prusa build more reliable if a bit more of a pain to build?by AndrewD - General
Thanks for the reply. Can the Sanguilolu use an SD card or other 'offline' device?by AndrewD - United Kingdom RepRap User Group
Getting the bits together for my build, but the one thing that has changed dramatically is the electronics! As I understand the Gen 3 was 'standard' but the newer boards are quicker and some are integrated. I'm quite keen to have the printer run without the PC running, so the RAMPS looks like a solution for SD card running, but is the Gen6 better? Any-hoo, tips would be great as I've been tryiby AndrewD - United Kingdom RepRap User Group
I've just ordered the plastics and am building ASAP, I'm based in Slough.by AndrewD - United Kingdom RepRap User Group

Yup, I missed a set and had to log in in a hotel in France to get them! Hope this is a surge in popularity it needs and probably helped by the recent BBC 'click' program.
