Sorry but seems both of these steps/mm are wrong. It's neither 64 or 80. The carriage does not reach the end of the linear rail and I'm telling it to move the correct distance. 80 steps is closer to what it should be, but there's still about 5mm left.by shai - Firmware - Marlin
So do we care what tooth count the idler is or it doesn't matter? Since the motor pulley and idler are different tooth count.by shai - Firmware - Marlin
I've seen all the online calculations for steps per mm however I'm a bit confused about something since my setup has one size pulley on the motor and a different size on the linear rods. I have a setup like an Ultimaker where you have a belt between two linear rods and a motor with a smaller belt attached to one of the rods. My motor has 20 teeth and the linear rods have 16 teeth. I'm using TMC22by shai - Firmware - Marlin
Quotewarbunniex the smoothieboard wiki still says that they do not really support external sd card usage. have you done anything to improve this issue? The smoothie wiki is somewhat outdated. Yes we tested the SD card and it works fully without issues. We’re not the first to have external SD.by shai - General
We've just finished designing our new LCD screen for Smoothieware! We've tested all the features and everything works great. Features: LCD Rotary encoder knob (hooked up behind the pcb in picture using jumper wires) Reset button (can be programmed to be any type of button in config) MicroSD card Buzzer We're looking for some people to help us test the first pre-production run for a reduced pricby shai - General
Currently we're not seeing a high enough demand for 24V version, so we are not offering it. We're offering the 12V version separately because we use it in our printers so it's easy for us to mass produce it. PT100 is a bit difficult to mount on itby shai - For Sale
Thought I'd share that we're having a black friday sale on our new Mini Hotend. Use coupon code black friday during checkout. Link: Product Linkby shai - For Sale
Hi PDBeal, I'm not sure why it's not working for you. We've sold almost 500kg of this batch of filament now and have not heard of any such issues as far as I can recall. Here's a user who just posted his results from the same filament he bought: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/501f3g/11_1kg_deltaprintr_pla_filament_isnt_hat_bad/ Note that he has no affiliation to us and we do not knby shai - For Sale
We've just shipped out over 100 pre-orders for our new Mini Hotend that's now available on our site. Thought I'd share it before we run out of stock Link: http://deltaprintr.com/shop/parts-and-accessories/hardware/mini-hotend/by shai - For Sale
Thought I would let everyone know that Deltaprintr is having a filament overstock sale. We need to get rid of inventory so we're running a sale while supplies last. Half of it is already gone, so grab it while you can! You can view our filament offering here: deltaprintr.com/filamentby shai - For Sale
@JamesK We were originally going to use 20mm fan, but we're going with 25mm. Yes they are hard to find and expensive.by shai - General
@MechaBits, that hotend will not perform as well as one may think. The bottom and top portion of the fan is blocked off due to the square nature of the aluminum heatsink. It will only cool it on the sides. Our Mini hotend cools the heartbreak itself because the fan sticks out under the heatsink a bit. I would also compare the size and weight.by shai - General
@Chris We have some pictures on the product page on our website on how it's mounted. It's mounted simply by using 2 M3 screws.I believe the push-fit is threaded 3.20mm deep into the heatsink. Also note that you will have to PID tune the heater as the resistance is planned to be manufactured at 3.6-4.4 ohms. For smoothieware this is very easy as it has auto-PID tuning that we've tested with andby shai - General
I apologize, I presumed you were talking about the mini-hotend, not an e3d. I can't say anything about that since I haven't used one. If it works, then go for it!by shai - General
I think you guys are over complicating things a bit It is much easier to just use 2 fans without adding some motor to act as a shutter, which adds weight and cost and requires more programming. On top of that, a single fan should not be cooling the hotend and the print. It reduces the airflow to the hotend, which is essential for consistent cooling. Otherwise it will jam.by shai - General
We can't guarantee it will be compatible with any sort of mounting system because we didn't work around any sort of mounting system. We designed our own. That doesn't mean that you can't print out your own custom designed mount Groove mounts are old fashion and they don't work well. 24V will be in the works after we ship the 12V first. @MechaBits The spacing is shown in one of the pictures on our product page. I'll upload more dimension drawings by end of this week... maybe even today if I have time. It's 16mm apart.by shai - General

We're working on several ideas for all metal version, but it still needs some testing. The next version (or maybe as a separate model) will have the bowden push-fit integrated directly into the heat-sink rather than screw in from the top. Lots of ideas, not enough timeby shai - General
Thanks! We should have them shipped hopefully within a few weeks. Still waiting on getting the thermistor and heaters crimped. Everything else is already in production. Setup is up to you to figure out. We use it on smoothie ware. I'll see if we can add some guides maybe, but no promises because there are a lot of firmwares out there. Thermistor # is already on the product page. 24V is not availby shai - General
Yes, on our Instagram page: instagram.com/deltaprintrby shai - General
It's inside the nozzle for more accurate reading temperature. You can add a second thermistor if you'd like even and it's held in place under a fiberglass sleeving. The wires are zip-tied to the heatsink. Updated pics to come soon on the site.by shai - General
Thought I'd share something we've been working on for the past several months It's now available for pre-order on our site: Deltaprintr.com See photos below:by shai - General

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone else here that uses the Merlin Hotend www.merlin-hotend.de also has infill problems? When comparing the Merlin hot end to the J-head design, the airbrush nozzle tip does not have a "flat tip" and therefore cannot "fuse" perimeters/lines of plastic when printing. I was printing an object with slicer setting for top layer = 3 layers, yet the top layer had gapsby shai - Printing
