I'm trying the same... How many amperes must be the car fuse? Thanksby fraschizzato - Controllers
I'm pretty sure that temperature readings are correct, i've also made tries with a thermometer that i know is working well... Thanks for specification about kapton (i believed that are all the same), i've seen (on posted catalog) that 3M 1205 has a max range of 311°F (155°C) and probably mine is like that (according to the measured burning temperature)... For my use I have to find in my local selby fraschizzato - Mechanics
uhm... probably mine is not real kapton tape... my "kapton" tape that fix thermistor to the hotend was carbonized and temperature was never over 240° ( measured with the thermistor and an ir thermometer)... I have to talk to my sellerby fraschizzato - Mechanics
During some tests i've found that with high temperature kapton tape burns (obviously, but in my hotend is inevitable), considering that ptfe tube can resists to very high temperature i've thinked to use ptfe tape (teflon, the simple used in idraulic)... It has no glue but it can resists to very high temp, it insulates from hot and electricity, it can be fixed in place by using simple metal wire orby fraschizzato - Mechanics
Solved, for anyone that has similiar problem, that's the solution: On Extruder specs is listed that the distance between fan top and nozzle bottom must be 80mm, but measuring the mechanical diagram i've seen that the nozzle showed has an height of about 6mm and the real nozzle is about 10mm... So the correct distance between fan top e nozzle bottom became (in my case) 80-6+10= 84mm... Explanatby fraschizzato - Mechanics
Upgrading my reprap i've chose that extruder I'm trying to use it with ramps 1.4 and marlin firmware but now i have to solve an issue... Trying to print with abs i can't reach temperature over 208°C with extruder fans on (and also gain 200° requires a lot of time), without fan i've reached higly temperature rapidly but i think that it's not really safe... Anyone have experience with that extrudby fraschizzato - Mechanics
By schematics i've seen that is only a "pin ordener", so i will make a converter cable my own...by fraschizzato - General Mendel Topics
I will sell one of the two melzi with panelolu and adaptor to a friend... but i need only the ramps adapter for a full graphic lcd controller (12864 the one with ext1 and ext2)... You sell this adapter? I've found only full kit with display-cable-adapter...by fraschizzato - General Mendel Topics
Many thanks for that info.. probably i switch to ramps, for my project are more flexible... Maybe in future i will use melzi for a cnc...by fraschizzato - General Mendel Topics
Actually i'm running Sprinter on a Melzi Ardentissimo Board... I have a panelolu2 and a second melzi ardentissimo board (want to make a dual extruder printer).. During first test i've succesfully configured panelolu2 on the official marlin firmware... In the second test i've used the reprappro multimaterial firmware and it works with one melzi as master and the other as slave... The problem is: hby fraschizzato - General Mendel Topics
There's a way on Repetier-host to pause the job at a specified layer? I would like to change filament color, actually i have to wait until the selected layer is made, pause, moving up z axis, change filament, extruding a little bit, continue the job... The best can be an option or a script that (when the selected layer is reached) pauses the print and moves up the z axis... Thanksby fraschizzato - Repetier
