hello fellow reprappers i am in search of M8 threaded rods at local stores like home deopot or lowes and im doing this to cut costs and because i notice i cant just find the threaded/smooth rod kits online like amazon or 3d printer parts site in US problem is i am unsure if what i am looking at on homedepot.com is what i need. non of the search results are saying "M8" on the parts details (sby pspuria81 - Reprappers

i was actually looking in building a larger 3d printer with my current printer the only problem that was mentioned to me when i brought the idea up was the printing might get sloppy after a while and the 3d printer that i wanted a larger one of is the prusa mendel v2 off of reprap.org wikipedia and the larger size would be able to print out a decent size computer case or an object of similaby pspuria81 - Reprappers

that is exactly what im trying to figure out, i have a prusa mendel with gen6 electronics, everything is setup right. Right now im trying to figure out what the optimum settings are for printing and i dont know where to look, the only setting i know is the temp for the heat is 185, the speed and resolution i have no clue on what settings are best. any thoughts?by pspuria81 - Printing

i have a V9 hotend theres a whole for the resistor and another for what i assume for the thermistor, correct me if im wrong plz right now the resistor heats up but goes beyond the 185 mark that is set, im not sure why the thermistor at the beginning reads the temp to a certain point then the kapton tape peels off the heat block do i use super glue ?? < stupid question i knowby pspuria81 - General Mendel Topics

Okay, it has just occurred to me that my wiring on all the motors including the extruder are reversed, what is the exact wiring code i have 4 wires black, red, blue, green and the crimped setup i currently have as follows with the clip down blue, red, green, black which 2 wires need to be redone hopefully this will also solve the problem of only moving in one direction on each axis thank yby pspuria81 - General Mendel Topics
