I've created a new thread after realizing a few problems that are inherent to my setup. Hereby wacoe96 - General Mendel Topics
Prusa i2 w/Sanguinololu 1.3a and 12v 30A PSU(not ATX) Using Sprinter firmware So I've done all the calibrations and everything works great... except the heatbed. I've been trying for about a week now to get the bed working but after looking around it seems that the Sanguinololu has serious problems delivering the amount of current necessary to power the heatbed (various reports of connectors melby wacoe96 - General Mendel Topics
I had a very similar problem with my sanguinololu 1.3a on my Prusa i2. To fix it I tried a few different versions of arduino IDE and installed new hardware drivers into the arduino folder and redid the coms port. I believe you can fix it by following the guide in this thread. (Obviously you will need different drivers for a RAMPS)by wacoe96 - General Mendel Topics
So this morning I tried wiring the heatbed to the Sanguinolulu using both crimps and directly attaching the wires. Both times the Vreg began to overheat after about 10 seconds and I had to kill the power. I'm using 14 gauge wire which should be sufficient to handle 12A. Any ideas? Is there a way to reduce the current to the bed in the firmware, and just increased the time that it takes to warmby wacoe96 - General Mendel Topics
Also just curious what does the normal heatbed actually draw?by wacoe96 - General Mendel Topics
1) Meant to say 30A (12v) 2) What gauge wire/how to most people wire the bed to the board since the crimps are too small to fit a 10/12 gauge wire?by wacoe96 - General Mendel Topics
I have everything ready except my heatbed. When I tried last night to heat it through the onboard Sanguinololu (1.3a) heatbed connectors I gave myself a pretty nasty burn. I'm using ABS so I need the heatbed. I've seen online that you can hook the heatbed PCB directly to the PSU and it will regulate itself, can anyone confirm this or offer another method? I was unable to complete my Prusa Mendel (i2) before I left for school. Anyone know where to get a good prefabed build surface along with a mount for a MK heat element. Any help is appreciated.by wacoe96 - General
So I have some Wantai 42BYGHW811 wantai.com and I was wondering what stepper drivers to use with them to make them work. Using Sanguinololu 1.3a. I need 8 total so good deals are appreciated.by wacoe96 - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
So I went looking for a new set of motors that would require less amperage to actuate. Can anyone approve or testify as to how good these would be? www.robotdigg.com or www.robotdigg.com Using Sanguinololu 1.3a with Stepstick A4983 After turning the pots I am only able to get 1.5v at the Vref.by wacoe96 - New Zealand RepRap User Group
So I already have some Stepstick drivers (StepStick A4983 Stepper Driver Module). Can anyone recommend motors to go along with the drivers I already have? Looking for a quantity of 10 if anyone knows any good deals.by wacoe96 - New Zealand RepRap User Group
So I got the same motors as Alizier and I am having a hard time getting them to accuate. They are trying too although cant quite be pussed hard enough. Im using a Sanguinololu 1.3a board and the motors listed above (42byghw811). Any help is greatly appreciated. This is my first build, although I am very tech inclined (so feel free to talk nerdy to me).by wacoe96 - New Zealand RepRap User Group
