Hey Guys Have a look at this board. I have been testing it for quite a while and with big success. There's ofcourse a learning curve changing from marlin to smoothieware but when you get to know the firmware then its quite simple to continue with it. Its a great arduino alternative for ramps, and if i have to use ramps on other projects i would definitely choose this alternative again.by TRoager - Crowdfunding Projects Announcements
i have always been interested in the RAMPS-FD but all this with Geeetech and the mistakes has gotten me away from it. And i agree with Cefiar becuase of Geeetech. But i will look forward to se it be revivedby TRoager - Controllers
I have thought about mounting mosfets in parallel but i was seaching for a solution that wasnt a work around or something like using a compatible controller. ( I'm designing my own controller and cant design it if i can't deside how it should work.) I do like the Reprap.me's power extender but i do not intend to buy from them. So now im wondering if i just should buy the AC Heater and try out aby TRoager - General
Thank you guys for the reply. I have now tested and measured a bit. First off, i have a Fluke 179 and measured with the thermocouple i got with it. Seems to be in order with the thermistor in side the silicone heater. There are 2.3V over the SSR relay (MOSFET) And 10.2V over the heated bed. 12.5V on the PSU. So yes im not getting full 12V on the heated bed. The bed i have measured to 0.5Ohm Iby TRoager - General
Hello Folks I bought a 12V 300W silicone heater from Robotdigg and im trying to make it work but im getting some trouble with it. First of all i bought 2 SSR relay's, a fotek 25dd and 40dd , DC DC SSR. I have burned down both relays. Now i have changed the Mosfets inside to a P55NF06 like the ones mounted on the extra Ramps 1.4 i had laying around. Now i have then attached a big alu heatsinkby TRoager - General
Nice, i have now seen a few examples og web interfaces for 3d printer and must say that its fun to see the developmentby TRoager - Developers
How come mine looks like this: EDIT: i found the problem myself. it was a driver issue ( i was having a driver SH1106 and not SSD1306)by TRoager - Controllers
I have to ask, i really love the display but im curious. Do you intend to do more then just view information? Maybe a more user friendly/ end user friendly ? A model view or something? Im not sure how much the sam3x8 is capable of ?by TRoager - Fisher
Quotedc42 QuoteTRoager Quotedc42 Yes I am looking at using one of the ESP8266 variants to provide the WiFi connection. The challenge is to get the wifi and I/O throughput high enough to give a good speed for uploading files to the SD card. This may require a major rewrite of the ESP8266 firmware. Well i found this and looks like its quite active in periods Like every other ESP8266 solution Iby TRoager - Controllers

Quotedc42 QuoteTRoager Hows it going with the board dc42?? I've given up on my original design, for two reasons: 1. The kit manufacturers I spoke to didn't want plug-in drivers, because on-board drivers are more reliable and bring the cost down. So the market for the board would have been limited. 2. Since I started the design, Replikeo has started second-sourcing the Duet. They are now selliby TRoager - Controllers

Hello folks. Im wondering if someone could design a mount for the e3d kraken. If so, the needs for the hotend is the following: Kraken mount for Ultimaker alike, for 8mm Rods Blower fan output maybe a blower om each side. And cable/hose holder. Thanks in advanceby TRoager - Hello. I need a something designed. For money.
Quotecxandy thanks. Please share the source code so we can use the modified firmwareby TRoager - Controllers
Well its not about saving a dollar or two just because i want to go cheap. i would rather find a similar place just a few bucks lower I was looking at some discount maybe, not something thats worseby TRoager - Developers
I noticed that one. But doesnt seem to be cheap ? :/by TRoager - Developers
Makes sense. But where to get v slot to a cheap price in EU? and what about movement, i was thiniking stationary build platform and only nozzle movement. What do you think? Im seeking the most accurate and vest print.by TRoager - Developers
Thank you for your reply. Makes alot og sense. But im getting used to slow speed around 30mm/s but the quality aint good enough for med yet. My ultimaker os made of MDF and i think its week and i really hate that the Rods have to rotate. But then again the usual Prusa i3 have some flaws in my opinion. Such as the build plate moving in 1 direction. I was going to use the E3D Kraken as my hotend.by TRoager - Developers
Hello Folks. im in a bit of a crossroad here. Im trying to decide how im gonna build my own 3D Printer. Which design to choose on the XYZ movement. I really like the z axis to move up and down or just fixed so no movement at all on the build plate. so i got some design i like but im gonna choose 1 of em. There is a Delta ( Fixed Build Plate) Ultimaker (Z up and down) - Just dont like the 6mmby TRoager - Developers
Good info ! i really appreciate your post.Ill try and bumb up the temp with my roll of ABSby TRoager - Printing
Hello Folks I was wondering how to setup the raft in KISSlicer. i have adjustet the Inflate raft to around 2. but i cant get the raft off the print. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the airgap of the raft and object in KISSlicer? Thanks in Advance.by TRoager - Experimental
Hmm interesting, i didnt think of it like that. Im not that sharp on the internet things yet. I thought more of it like a BT module, and thats wrong of me. Then i Can see its gonna be alittle Harder :bby TRoager - Developers
Hello folks Has anyone tried to incorporate the ESP8266 module to the arduino? This could make our printers wireless - TRoagerby TRoager - Developers
i have 1 big 120*120 fan blowing on the build plate and a print fan. but the stringing is because of the 1.1 retraction with bowden and thats not enough, but the object is like missing some layers and then its not extruding correctly. but im not an expert at slic3r and i heard that KISSlicer could be better.by TRoager - Printing
Sorry about the link. here it is: well if i go below 220, then my extruder is skipping. So maybe there's a temperature difference in my thermistor. It could be the slicing. i just tried again, and now it looks better, could be something that was wrong with the object (STL file). But could anyone link me to a good guide for kisslicer??by TRoager - Printing
Hello Folks. i have a ultimaker clone (with ramps). and i have alittle trouble with this print. the problem is that it looks like its under extruding in some way. Click here for the picture im using Black Colorfabb PLA, at 220 degress and 70 on the bed. i was using the UM 1 firmware, with 79.xxx in the x and y axis. i have now changed it to 80. and it seems to be better then the picture abovby TRoager - Printing
i think i have a bad thermistor so i have switched to thermocouple and im gonna try some colorfabb xt filament when i get some new parts for my z stage in a few days. but i could extrude the ABS at 220 and all the way to 275 degrees celsius.by TRoager - Printing
Hmm, could be because of the eBay thermistors. Im gonna change to a thermocouple soon enough so i hope this Will change the temp Readings alot. But i was thinking to og back to pla but i really like the feel of ABS over pla. But it seems like im under extruding abit but im only printing at 40mm/sby TRoager - Printing
