This seems to be a version of the early Jhead mk3/4. It had known overheating issues, why not just use the mk5 designs? They are more expensive to manufacture but are very reliable.by spacexula - For Sale

Is this open source? Where can I find the files? If your going to knock off Hotends.com design, why not at least do it with the most recent version? This version has serious thermal creep issues.by spacexula - For Sale
Incorect, You can not tell the difference, this is coming from someone that has used both. A mechanically true machine is a mechanically true machine. You can't look at an object that was cut with a CNC Router and tell the brand of the machine, or even it's gcode generator if it's ran properly.by spacexula - General
Or just go to the RepRap google Hangout/IRC channels and get support there from the community, we never charge.by spacexula - For Sale
The people that owns these are likely to say theirs, the ones that sell you them will definitely tell you theirs. truth be told side by side you could not tell the difference between the product of any of these machines if using equiv plastic/layer height combination as long as they are ran within their Cartesian bots frame/extruder tolerances. Hey Mazaw, there is no need to throw it out, the "clogs" your getting are very likely just thermal failures. If you go into the makergear/RepRap IRC we can walk you though fixing this issue pretty quickly. I 100% agree with Wildbill here. Kickstarter has a HORRIBLE track record of undelivered equip, and until a design has been open sourced & independently tested there is no way to judge the design, especially with an extruder. Remember, Kickstarters are a gift & a promise , not a purchase.by spacexula - General

Can we have an image of a finished hot end?by spacexula - For Sale
Strange that the two folks that have responded in here have already deleted their accounts.. Why would they do such a thing... How are we to know the quality of your material if no known users have ever used it? Also I do hope you got permission from Makergear to use their images.by spacexula - For Sale
The spirit of open source would be to publish them the same way the hot ends you used as inspiration where published. That way we could judge the quality of your design. BTW at $100 USD yours is by far the most expensive hot end out there (Besides a Mk7 heater), and considering your hiding how yours is made it, sure looks like a PTFE sleeve tapped up the middle with a brass barrel. Please tellby spacexula - For Sale
Buback glad you’re volunteering to do all that documentation. More work than I am willing to do. Simple truth is even though I don't agree with the standardization thing, if you document a build people will follow it and it will have more gravity. Good luck.by spacexula - Developers
BTW Sells Mendel is a 3 year old design, maybe one days you guys will update to a modern Cartesian design?by spacexula - Look what I made!

Andrew, your welcome to call your machine any thing you want. Official RepRap would mean it's Officially sanctioned by Adrian Bowyer, the person who owns the RepRap.org. Let me guess you Standard RepRap, will be YOUR machine. Shocker. So I guess that would make all the other RepRap non-standard. Looks like a very altruistic thing your trying to do there, no self interest at all. I could staby spacexula - Developers
That is a hot thermal barrier, put a fan on it and that should clear it right up. (Thermal barrier being the plastic part of the hot end). It causes jams because the plastic gets hot and sticky outisde the thermal barrier.by spacexula - Reprappers
