QuoteRP Iron Man As for the high temp thermistors I have also found quite a few firms that design high temp thermistors, I just haven't been able to find their distributors Eric Why dont you just ask them who their distributors are? Typically companies that dont sell straight to consumers will tell you who sells their products.by gmh39 - General
Those are the filament spool and v-slot roller from Grabercars. More than likely you are not going to find the files for them since they are CNC machined. If you need those parts, they are for sale on Graber's website. www.grabercars.comby gmh39 - Delta Machines
Quotevegasloki QuoteRP Iron Man EDIT: It looks like the Ultimaker thermocouple also uses an M3 thread. I just need to find out where they source their thermocouples... Shenzhen. Any sort of electronics parts you could every need or want can be found in the markets there at prices much better than Alibaba or Taobao. Are you talking about the city in China, or is there a market similar to Alibabby gmh39 - General
If you do offer the ability to switch between a thermocouple and thermistor, I think you should include both parts with the hotend. Yes, it increases cost, but if your goal is adjustability I think it is necessary.by gmh39 - General
Print temperatures (for both the bed and hotend) are not set in stone. You need to play with them a bit to get the right one for your printer/filament.by gmh39 - Printing
small as in 100x100x100mm. However, it is highly possible to expand that later on, especially if you go with the Printrbot Simple.by gmh39 - Wanted
I use a similar width everyday at work on our replicator 2x. Saves me sooooo many headaches.by gmh39 - FoldaRap
Just a heads up, you cant do 100% infill with honeycomb.by gmh39 - Printing
There are dissolvable filaments that are available. Also, I believe there is a way to specify which material is the support material, but I can remember off the top of my head.by gmh39 - General
Under $200 is VERY hard, if not impossible to find. $300 is much more doable, but you will get only the basics (PLA only, no heated bed, small build area).by gmh39 - Wanted
The link works fine for me... It should take you to the amazon ordering page.by gmh39 - General
I want to scale up the pirnted case version of the tantillus to 200 x 200 x 200 to put together a kit for my brother for his birthday this summer. Is it possible? If so, is it just a matter of printing extra panels for the sides and getting longer components (rods, fishing line, etc.)?by gmh39 - Tantillus
Way over priced when you can get a Filastruder for $300.by gmh39 - General
wood burner? Or couldn't you just use a regular soldering iron? Maybe with a temperature control.by gmh39 - General
Quotelandsharkxx Which kit is the best for this price point? I was thinking the Printrbot simple v2 or just do the reprap Kossel mini The Simple is good. Plus I know there are some guys on the Printrbot forum that have expanded the build volume of their simples. I personally run a Printrbot JR. It's a nice little printer. Does what I tell it to. What do you want to print? Do you have requiby gmh39 - General
Here's a link to the reddit thread: There is a BOM at in the first post that has the Kossel parts you can get form Misumi. All you have to pay is shipping. Don't forget to add the discount code! Edit - I would suggest just buying the extrusion from Misumi. Everything else is WAY over priced.by gmh39 - General
yes definitely. Order extrusion form Misumi using the discount code, hardware from mrmetric.com, printed parts from either ebay or here, hotend from hotends.com, and components from robotdigg.com. That should just about cover everything you need.by gmh39 - General
With misumi's First150 promotion, I'm willing to bet you can source a mendelmax or extrusion based i3 and come in under budget.by gmh39 - General
Is there a performance advantage to being able to adjust the zones? What zones settings did you do those test prints at?by gmh39 - General
You should be able to. There are plenty of single surface STLs available for download.by gmh39 - General
Can any strings/head/etc be added after printing? Size limit?by gmh39 - Competitions
Yea, I dont think I have seen a printer use rack and pinion yet. So you'll be on the bleeding edge. It is definitely nice since it is something you can print, but I think buying is much better because you will probably get better accuracy and sizing.by gmh39 - Extruded Aluminum Frames
Check out the foldarap/mondrian. Both use printed linear slides on aluminum extrusion. There are a couple of threads around here about others using UHMW PE (i think that's what I was) and some other materials.by gmh39 - Extruded Aluminum Frames
Try a different slicer. Sometimes Slic3r does weird things.by gmh39 - Printing
I think putting parts in an acetone vapor bath (for ABS) would give a similar affect as putting SLA parts in a UV oven. the layers would be able to "melt" together more thoroughly. Having a UV curable filament doesn't make much sense to me, granted im not a materials engineer either. But the UV is what bonds the resin into layers to begin with. So with a UV filament you would need it to be exby gmh39 - General
Sounds like you might need to tune your PID numbers.by gmh39 - General
PM'd you. I happen to have an old Rapman 3.1 kit that I dont use.by gmh39 - Wanted
Nope, OP knows how to measure current. You know what happens when you assume, right? Anyway, I'm just looking to get my printer back up and running cause I gotta get stuff printed.by gmh39 - General
Just found the switching supplies right after I posted that. I think I am just going to pick one of those up instead of messing around with loading the 5V rail.by gmh39 - General
Quotejamesdanielv how much current does the hot end use? are you using a cartridge, or a resistor? Not sure on the current. I'll check when I get home. It uses a cartridge heater. Is there a type of power supply I can use that doesnt require me to attach light bulbs to it to get it to work?by gmh39 - General
