true martin, building IS fun, but only for those who want to build things not for those who need it working yesterday, that's why I mentioned You may want to keep the design as it is, because you can use that as a small plotter (keep in mind that you only have a standard size of ~30 x ~30 cm ) but the real funpart of keeping this design as a plotter is, you can draw on almost every 2.5D surfaceby sid - General
I don't have a lasercut kit, so I didn't file anything Make sure that the rods are perfectly angled in the bushings, just like it's in the assembly instructions. I'd say if you have the assembly mounted and hold it vertical the carriage should move downwards fast and without stuttering down but running smooth. If that's the case you'll be fine. If not remove one of the black bearings to find whby sid - Reprappers
you certainly can, but wouldn't it be a much simpler approach to just go and buy one of those oldschool flatbed plotters they sell at ebay for cheap? you wouldn't have to spend hundreds of dollars but some twenty bucks and you can plot right away and don't have to spend hours in building a printer But, be welcome to build a darwin of course... maybe one day you want 3d as well 'sidby sid - General

lol what to say... i don't know, funny approach of printed circuit indeed, but who wants to print circuits to dried pasta? Oh I know some caneloni steppermotor controllers to wrap around the framerods, and some penne for opto endstops 'sidby sid - Plastic Extruder Working Group

twotone leds you can put in either way, yes. single color leds are (hence the name.. diodes) therefor they will light up only in one direction, leds with two colors have either three legs and are useless for your needs, or they have just two legs and you can solder them in as they come, the only difference is, which color lights up in what direction. you can use two leds as you mentioned, yes; bby sid - Controllers

umm the datasheet says it's 0.9 Ohms per winding, not 1.8 afaics your wiring on the stepperboard should be yellow, blue, green, white (in ABCD order) I've read something similar to your problem a while ago in the forums, iirc it was the temp of the l297 that was mainly causing the problem. Cool the driverchip, and reduce the power with the trimpot to the minimum value that makes the motor tuby sid - Controllers
as you can see on the image (this is from the stepperboard): Theres a flat side on the silkscreen (pointing upwards), match that with the flat side (longer leg) of the LED and you're okay 'sidby sid - Controllers

Well but for our need it's simply "stupid" to use green lasers, as they are only ir-lasered crystals with a powerloss of about 70-80%. To receive a 200mW green Laserbeam (depending on the specific wavelength and crystal in use) you can guess to have a 900mW to 1 Watt IR laserdiode fireing the crystal. It's much more efficient to just have the ir diode to burn whatever is to be burned. I'm sorryby sid - Laser Cutter Working Group
Sorry .. just an idea: Why turning the auger backwards? It has a specific shape to transport material much better in the other direction (at least the ones I've seen have) And because the filament can leave the tube sideways, there is no need to "mount" the drill on the input side, is there? Please guys if you intend build one on your own. Do yourself a favour and wear safety goggles! I'm not kidding, I ripped apart six or seven old dvdburners to make just exactly such a "toy". With the last ..as I tested the diode after removing it from it's original heatsink I gave it a test , the uncollimated beam hits my shiny scissors and right into my left eye. if it's nothing but a webcam you (and you alone) want to check, get yourself xampp (a complete webserver package ) install that to your disk and use that as webspace, you can also use one of those dynamic dns services for easier access. Or take a close look to your isp's homepage, most isp offer free webspace for customers. or you may take a lokk at this: 'sidby sid - RepRap Host

whoops, please check your css again. the Pagetitle (Accessories [ Any kind of accessories for your gadgets. ]) is way to large to be displayed properly and it breaks the line and covers the object title (Test file v1) And now the bad thing (I'm sorry about that really...) well I don't know if that works... but what about those wireless print servers they sell for cheap at the electronics store near? Okay they are made for connecting an usb or parallel standard printer via wifi network, but maybe it can handle the gcodes (uhm or the snap protocoll) too ? 'sidby sid - Controllers
okay I take this one then keep it short: NICE! take some more words: some very familiar page design you have there, that is nice, I wonder about the layout of uploaded models (gallery and single file view) would you mind uploading some fake files for a closer view? QuoteAs for Sid's comment, We're trying to create a world where people are equals, where everyone has what they need, and you're treating me like a lesser being. Sorry Ant, never meant to, all I wanted to say is that it's hard to make promises if you don't know what you promise. QuoteThe tab of the transistor is connected to the middle pin which is the collector Uuups that's true unfortunately And now I'm confused.. is that for all to220 , because I ripped apart some old thermoprinter where all TOcased transistors where cooled by ONE large aluminum part which holds the mechanics.
