Firmware I have not updated my firmware sense October 2015 i want to say 1.09m. Could this be my problem?by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
After running the G32 the probe points of the check bed show low deviation and hold after homing and rechecking. Thanks for this little rundown, it saved me numerous hours of plugging in my XYZ probe coordinates one at a time to get these individual probe points. This learning curve is steep! So I have very little differences in my Z-height all under 0.10, however i have corrected for these anyhow and this still does not fix the problem i am having. I recently have installed PEI to my glass print top as well which really helped with first layer sticking (I painted one side black so it would not be transparent) I get a clean calibration from my auto calibration taking the deviation toby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
dc42 Thanks! ill swap it right after i remeasure i had to rotate the sensor so my additional print cooling fan could be mounted on the other side (so it wont crash into anything. Purple ill try adding brim to my larger prints to try this out. I still have yet to truly optimize my slicer settings for "general printing" but first i gotta get everything level. THanks for all the helpby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
I am currently working on compensating for the differences in trigger height i am measuring then working the results in the H parameter inside the G30 commands in my bed.g file. I am using the difference between my (Z trigger height set point) - (Actual measured trigger height at Probe points). Please correct if i am wrong G30 P8 X36.8 Y32 Z-99999 H0.00 Is this the correct? @PurpleSensatioby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
More specifically adding the H parameter to the G30 command just comes at the end of the existing code or do i need to put it in front of that? Also is this H the offset (difference between the offsets at the points im having trouble with) or do i use the greater or smaller of the different offsets?by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
what command in the bed.g file would i edit? Or is this due to something mechanical in the build like tightening the effector arms on the carriages?by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
so im having problems with the spiral sticking to the bed even though i added the probe point i thought was missing. Is there some other way to compensate for this?by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
To home in on this solution and stay up to date. I have watched my autoleveling protocol and it is skipping the area i am having difficulties with... I will be trying to add a probe point in the .bed file.by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
I Have a working printing mini kossel from T3DP3D upgraded with duet8.5+Ir sensor for auto calibration + PanelDue touchscreen all running DCv1.09. Everything works and calibrates great, i think, SD after a few calibrations is (0.055) My printer prints small prints in the center of the bed very nice however it struggles with larger prints. Particularly in one area of my bed where the nozzle doesby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
-Solved- Thanks for your feedback DC Printing again with a working IR probe!by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
My auto leveling keeps setting the H parameter to 229 mm which snags my paper at 5.0mm and not zero i have gotten everything else working as far as the probe points and such, i think my true H should be 224 mm because when i set it to this in the config file the paper will snag at .1. So could this mean my steppers are off or something because they think my bed is lower than it really is? auto coby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
So if i manually subtract 5 mm from the .Config M665 command it will snag my paper at .17 when i check zero after changing and homeing. After i run the auto calibration it resets my home height back to the height that will crash the head into the bed again... I have set my z trigger height, when i set this to the value i got following the set zero instructions G92 Z0 (with the paper snagged) thby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
Ive done all that but it still crashes into the bed. After an auto compensation protocol is ran when i check zero with a paper test its usually snags about5.00mm which seems to be the distance my carriages travel down after a homing do i need to remove that feature?by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
I wanted to piggy back off this post because its topic is related to mine. So I have this very same setup (Hardware and software) everything works but when i start a print im not sure if i have the wrong starting gcode in my slicer or whaT but my printer head smashes into the bed every time. My IR sensor works and it runs through the entire probing fine it seems like its not saving the autocal aby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
Is the auto-bed level procedure saved locally after ? or should I include the G code in the slice every time?by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
Will Do upgrading firmware now Thanks for the instructions this will help for the future Dougby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
One more question be how do you adjust where the probing points are because the first 2nd 3rd and 4th probe points all have my probe hanging off the edge and it wont trigger because the sensor is hanging off the edge....or would changing the mounting position help? either way if i changed it there would be some hang off then edge anything i can do to compensate for this?by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
Fixed the problems the wiring harness had a crossed wire. Once everything is calibrated is there a specific way to create a macro for the screen I would very much like an option to run the IR calibration... Does the calibration need to be initiated from the slicer/G-code or does it save the settings when you run it from a macro that is created?by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
Firmware: PanelDue-4.3-1.09 for paneldue and your 1.09k-dc42 for duet Hardware: T3DP3D I added the M575 line and set 57600 as my baud rate and saved that same rate on the Panel Due. But still only reading "connecting" and no temp readingsby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
I am in the middle of my electronics upgrade and everything is going fine however my panel Due is stuck connecting to my printer. The screen works and responds and i have tried all baud rate options + a reset after the save and nothing still are there other problems that can cause the panel Due to not connect. Everything is wired correctly firmware is updated. anyone have this kind of trouble...iby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
Sorry i'm having mental difficulties with typing and thinking...what I was meaning to say was the PanelDue. I was little unclear on the directions for the duet0.8.5 and providing power to the panelDue.....Thanks for your feedback once again DC42 I am in the middle of upgrading my mini kossel to the Duet+PanelDue+ differential IR probe! but from the above im going to assume the Duet0.8.5 is goodby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
So If i have a Duet8.5 do I need to provide my PanelOne with its own power supply?? I recently got my duet0.8.5 and PanelOne from T3DP3D Any suggestions from anyone who has rigged this up?? Could i just use the spare red wire from the ramps power loom? Or can the Duet power the PanelOne? im a little confused on the directions... Anything helps.. Thanks!by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
Thank you all for your feedback it has helped me making my decision. I too have my kossel from T3DP3D and i have been very pleased with their quality. I am going to order my upgrade from them as well because i trust their equipment and service. and my IR probe from DC(filastruder)... I hope my wiring conversion and hookup goes well i have pre-read all instructions by DC. Big software changes scarby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
Thanks Rick this was exactly the feedback I was looking for to make my decision to upgrade i was going to wait for a total 2020 upgrade but I am having some problems printing now due to not bed leveling imperfections. Thanks for your feedback DuetV8.5 + PanelDue +IR sensor it is for me. Ill be placing orders soon another side question what hotend are you using and was it difficult getting the IRby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
I worried about having similar problems however I can hardly print ATM due to my bed not being leveled even though I achieve a XYZO calibration. I want to upgrade to Duet and the IR differential probe because I cannot get marlin auto leveling working. What I would really like to know is if duet + IR z probe has print quality improvements.....My current problem is even though my calibration snagsby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
were is your board and panelDue coming from? I have been very pleased with service and products from T3DP3D but it take awhile for shipping....Are you also using a differential IR probe?by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
So DuetV.6 still can support a panelDue and is able to control motor current through the softwareby Ace67aod - Delta Machines
I am looking to upgrade the electronics in my mini kossel. I am considering a DUET+PanelDue combo with a differential IR auto bed leveler. This is rather pricey and I was wondering if the version of duet (v6 or v8.5) and the actual display used had big performance differences? I am asking because of availability and pricing seem to make quite a difference in this case.by Ace67aod - Delta Machines
