Hi all, ... as Sebastien pointed out, i'll show here the building of a mini-lathe-/CNC-lathe with alternative methods. First the combination of a 4-jaws-chuck and a collet chuck mounting plate - i can change the chuck between an 1kW-servo-motor used as direct-drive lathe, or a 7Nm-microstepper atached to my CNC-mill as 'CNC-lathe'. Hi Sebastien, ... all my actual projects not concerning gas-sensors or thermal conductivity measurement are my own IP and for free Most of my work in micro-/nanotech and microassemnbly in the last 15 years was under NDA for 1 to 3 years, so it now should be free too Only the pico-dispenser (dispensing droplets of high viscous fluids with sizes in microns or submicrons) isn't free, but it's pby VDX - Delta Machines

Hi Lawrence, i'm redesigning my tripod with new available much longer linear bearings. The tripod is stiffer and more precise than the delta-kinematic, but the delta is better for DIY because of it's simpler structure. With three high precision Stepper- or Servo-Motors (i have steppers with 7Nm force and 50000 steps per rev) you need only some bearings, rods and the right hinges. I'l try lateby VDX - Delta Machines
