Hey guys, I just finished assembling my 5th RepRap printer. However this is my first delta style printer. I was wondering if anyone could tell me why my prints are shifting and being wavy like this. The controller board is a hybrid single board arduino and Ramps combo.by HairLikeFrodo - Reprappers
I usually use 3 in 1 oil for both the linear bearings and the lead screws. I have not run into any issues with wear on and of the smooth rods or bearings.by HairLikeFrodo - General
I was wondering what are the best couplings to use on the Prusa I3. I am rebuilding an old I3 that I have, but I plan on switching to 8mm lead screws. I have never been sure which couplings are the best, I have always just used the spiral aluminum ones. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.by HairLikeFrodo - Reprappers
Im getting that same exact error on my printer when I try to enable more than one extruder.by HairLikeFrodo - Developers

I would recommend copying the values from Folgertech Marlin to the newest version of Marlin until you can calibrate. When I did that most of my problems went away. Also always home the motors first, they might not move till you do.by HairLikeFrodo - Reprappers
I have the FolgerTech I3 also. Have you reflashed the board with Marlin Firmware? If so is it the one from FolgerTech? I was having problems also but it was that the Folger Marlin was so old. I copied all the values to the newest marlin and it worked perfectly.by HairLikeFrodo - Reprappers
I think it's a good place for helping people that have this specific version if the I3. A lot of people have found help with issues. I really enjoy the thread.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
Hmm, my lcd wasn't working with Folger's but I might give it a try again.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
If you guys wouldn't mind I've been having some trouble getting the config right, would you be able to post your configuration.h files so I can compare?by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
Yeah everything is tight.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
I'm just wondering what you guys have your vref pots on your stepper drivers set at. Mine are the standard .35v and .45v for the Y axis. I'm still getting that strange diagonal pattern.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
Yeah the board was from Folger Tech. Yeah my jumpers were installed.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
I fixed my issue. It was just a bad ramps board. I swapped it with my old printer and it worked perfectly.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
I tried flashing a new marlin firmware and It doesn't move still. I tried the home command and still nothing.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
I will give that a try in the morning. It's about 1:40am where I am. I'll let you know when I wake up. Thank you.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
I'm using the one in the Folger tech Google Drive. Is flashing just uploading a new firmware?by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
I get readings off the pots on the stepper drivers. I've tried both and the only thing that works is the heated bed.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
12.1v coming from the Folger supply and 12v coming from my ATX. They work with my other prusa.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
This is my second printer now, but I still seem to be stumped. I just finished assembling it and ive run into an issue. No matter what I do I cant get the motors to move, or get the extruder to heat, but I can get the bed to. I tried it with my Prusa I2's power supply, still nothing. Anyone have an idea?by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
I've been thinking about buying this kit but was worried about the print quality. Would you guys mind showing off your prints from this machine? I'm curious to see the difference from person to person. I've already looked at all the past photos.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotemikez104 Made my first real print tonight. I made a spool holder from ABS and it did not turn out too bad. Nothing really went wrong during the print. I'm still getting the "chain" look to the extrusion though. After that print, I found a spool holder that I liked better so I decided to print that in PLA because I got sick of the ABS smell after smelling it for 4 hours. that's when tby HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotedjcdude95 Hey guys! I don't know if anyone has posted it, but I did a full review of the Folger Tech Prusa i3. Enjoy! Yeah, I watched it also! It's very good. I would to see more videos about it. You did a really nice job.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotemikez104 Quotelouspinuso Quotemikez104 Quotelouspinuso Are you checking the level at all four" corners? Yes. I've done it several times. The Y axis just seems not smooth. I don't know how else to describe it. When I disconnect the motor, it seems smooth. Its like there is no micro stepping but I have the jumpers installed. Maybe the stepper isn't getting enough power.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotebtyder Quotemikez104 My X axis is nice and smooth but the Y axis is not. When the bed moves, it kind of jerks. Here is a pic of what I think should look smooth but actually looks like rope. im having the same problem, abliet much less profound. i have contacted folgertech about it, to see if it is a widespread problem. waiting on a reply. Try re leveling the print bed, it can be caused byby HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotemikez104 I'll have to look for that in the config.h I guess. It is also kind of jaggidy on the Y axis. Like when it prints the raft, it looks like rope. I'm not sure what you mean. Which part?by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
I've seen people have that same issue, I think they fixed it by inverting the x axis, in the marlin firmware.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
I saw those. They look really good! For a vibration fix check these out. I ordered a set of these and they fixed my issues on my prusa i2.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
Do you have any pictures of what you've printed on the kit so far?by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
I've been thinking about buying one of these kits. Do you guys have any pictures of the things you've printed? I'm mostly concerned about banding. I'd like to see how well it prints compared to my old I2.by HairLikeFrodo - Prusa i3 and variants
