The see me cnc is the same specifications as the standard Prusa i3. The only difference is the y axis bed supports, top mounts for the z axis are stronger and the z axis motor mounts are stronger as well. Another one to look into is the mendel 90 by Nopehead. It is very well designed with great support as well as excellent instructions. There is also a huge following and I've never once heard oby REPRAP SQUAD - Reprappers
If you're willing to wait a little while they will be offering kits and some open source stuff. I talked with the owner and he said they will be offering them soon. Some of the printers I would check out are, " see me cnc's" version of the Prusa i3. Its stronger and more portable then the standard i3. Mendelmax is also a sturdy printer with a good sized print volume, but it will cost ya at leastby REPRAP SQUAD - Reprappers
I'm having to completely re-learn all programs. What is the best free application for taking items of thingiverse. Stl, etc. So I can scale and print out on multiple sheets and put all those printed sheets of paper together to make one large picture of laser cutable or cnc cut able that is to actual scale. I want to be able to print them and paste them to large pieces of wood to cut them out. Thaby REPRAP SQUAD - 3D Design tools
I couldn't tell you how long it would take to pay for itself because I don't sell parts. Most people don't sell them either so finding out that info might take a while. Plus no matter which RepRap you buy there will be a learning curve if this is your first build. You have to consider time to configure and calibrate. Almost any reprap can be configured and calibrated to print in good quality. I jby REPRAP SQUAD - Reprappers
It should be Ok. What size is your print bed? I've used it on an 8"x8" heated bed. I guess if you had to and had the room you could use two. I think you'll be in good shape. I've used computer power supplies with about 25amps on the 12v line and they couldn't hack the power needed but the Xbox psu worked great and heated everything up quicker.by REPRAP SQUAD - Controllers
You can probably have the most of those "wants" but not for cheep. Multi-color printing will also add up the costs. Usually sturdy and large print size means heavy, which makes portability an issue. I would figure out which traits that you've described are important to you and work from there. What's your budget and what is a have to have. After you give me some of that info I can prolly give youby REPRAP SQUAD - Reprappers
In order to take the power supply off of standby you must connect the blue ( power standby) and the red 5v line. I used a switch on this line. Its just like a lot of computer power supplies, except there power standby is usually green I believe. So in order to take the power supply off of standby connect the 5v wire to the power sense or power standby. Power sense and power standby are the same bby REPRAP SQUAD - Controllers
I have a complete write up on it. Its on my WordPress blog and the link is below as my signature. Check it out. I used one for my printrbot Nintendo edition build.by REPRAP SQUAD - Controllers
Yup much agreed guys your big gist enemy is going to be vertical and horizontal slop or play. Sometime using 3 slides per axis can help eliminate play. Good luck. If you can get it to work well enough to print parts for a reprap you could turn this printer into a tabletop cnc with a dremel head.by REPRAP SQUAD - Reprappers
It looks like essentially you've built a cnc machine and your putting an extruder where the tool head would go. Nice job using scrap parts for the frame build. I'm wondering what kind of speeds you're going to get though. Let me know when you find out. I take it you are mostly going to be printing in PLA since a heated bed of this size will be difficult. Even with PLA you're probably going to neeby REPRAP SQUAD - Reprappers
I am a big fan of the BerryBot3D build as you already know. I would love to see some build notes and more details on the actual build. Thanks. I was never a fan of rostocks before the berrybot. Keep up the good work and happy building my friend.by REPRAP SQUAD - General
It sounds like a great concept and I'm excited to see more pictures. Please post some updated pics of the structure, as many as you can. I'm currently working on a similar design and I would like to see how you've done yours. Keep up the good work and update as much as you can. Thanks.by REPRAP SQUAD - Reprappers
Congrats on your recent build. I'm glad to hear that everything is going great minus the blister. Happy building.by REPRAP SQUAD - Reprappers
Im confused why do those comments make you speechless.by REPRAP SQUAD - General
if your looking for materials for the structure Dibond is a great one as well. Its not as expensive as aluminum but has simular regidity. Its what Nopehead uses on the memdel90.by REPRAP SQUAD - General
Me and some others are in the midst of building a Prusa i3 mixed with a Mendel v90. We loved both designs and they were very similar so we decided to take the best parts from each and custom design the rest. We are only in the beginning stages of a mock up design. The final version will more then likely be made from Dibond and aluminum alloys with a few carbon fiber parts. I attached a few pics oby REPRAP SQUAD - General
Just a lil side note I was browsing through the printrbot forum as I always do and I noticed several posts by members that were unhappy and got screwed over by japica. So I guess its been happening a lot over the last few years. On a good note I have heard that they offer good filament but some delays on arrival. All in all I can say this one should be done with. We know who japica is as a companby REPRAP SQUAD - General
Nice design, I like the build options. I tip my hat off to you good sir.by REPRAP SQUAD - Reprappers
Thanks for letting me know people got refunded. I'm more worried about that then what this guy is ranting about. If it wasn't for the reprap community repraps definitely wouldn't be a far as they are today. Everyday someone is pushing the limits of RepRap innovation and we as a community embrace it. We also help them take it to the next level. This guy is a quack and I think he does need help. I'by REPRAP SQUAD - General
No the problem with people today is embodied within you. You are the problem. The way you act and the way you talk. I'm done here this is a complete waste of time and our intelligence. I would rather spend my time on something that will help reprap and not waste it on this trash.by REPRAP SQUAD - General
What are you even talking about Telsa3D no one ever said a render was a reason. There was about 20 reasons for staying away from japica. I never base a companies worth on one part. I take all the info an make an educated decision about the company and its products. Its not worth my time to list all the negatives found within japica.by REPRAP SQUAD - General
Ya sure they always have an excuse for everything.by REPRAP SQUAD - General
Not to surprised well I can say I'm glad that the people on this forum are smart and willing to take the time to uncover the truth so no one else gets ripped off. I'm sure they will take a break from the industry and come back under a new name and try and rip off more people. What they don't realize is that they will be found out again. Also I must say that yes I do like the idea of using Japicaby REPRAP SQUAD - General

Ya I honestly think that this was a scam that didn't go the way they thought. It might not of started out that way but it sure ended up that way.by REPRAP SQUAD - General
I feel bad for the people who got there money invested and will prolly never get it back. There are to many people that are scamming in the reprap community. I have a section im building on my wordpress blog called,'the good and the bad.' I want more people to post there good and bad experiences with companies. That way people will know who to and not to buy from. please feel free to post under tby REPRAP SQUAD - General

Ive looked into scisor setups in the past, it would be cool to implement it into a design for the bed to lift. I dont know why it hasnt been done. They make lab lifts that would be the perfect size and all you would have to do is couple it to a stepper motor. That cable chain lift would also be a great idea to implement into repraps. Good lookin too.by REPRAP SQUAD - General
ya i noticed this post started from an account that only has one post and was started the day of the post and hasnt posted on his own topic since. Seems a lil fishy im inclined to think that Japica started thia post to draw attention to there bot. Well that kinda backfired. Its just way to many things that dont add up here.by REPRAP SQUAD - General
your power supply is more likely rated at 120ish watts. To find it take the 12v and multiply is by the amp 10= 120. Manufacturers often overstate their watts. 10 amps is too low. Try and stick with name brand power supplies if you can. Antec, cooler master etc. also an 203 w xbox 360 power supply will work well and they are only $5 or so.
