I have cable strain to make sure that it is not over straining. I am using 24v to power the sensor. It is well within the range that is listed.by tim3716 - General
I have gone through 2 capacitive sensor now and I am not sure what I am doing wrong. It is going bad after about 3 ish weeks and it is stuck on triggered. I am using a voltage divider on a LJC18A3-B-Z/BX NPN sensor. I thought it was the current but I am using really high resistance resistors (40K+).by tim3716 - General
I am running into an print issue I could not address. I don't really know how to describe the kind of artifacting I am getting so I included some pictures. I think it has to do with the micro stepping but I am not really sure. Printer: Custom Delta Drivers: SD6128 Micro stepping: 1/128 Board: Azteeg X5 Mini with smoothieware Some people told me to make my smooth idlers into toothed idlers but thaby tim3716 - Printing
I have looked around and I cant seem to figure out what kind of effect the length of the rods do to the delta. Things noted so far: If the rods are not long enough it will limit your build area The rod lengths should be the same (as close as possible) Longer rods will limit z height Is there any effect to the accuracy or speed of the machine as the rod lengths are increased or decreased?by tim3716 - Delta Machines
I thought it was the wrong pin out but I checked with the axteeg x5 mini and it should be right.by tim3716 - Delta Machines
I am running a azteeg x5 mini and I cant seem to get the endstops working properly. With M119 I can test all my end stops and they seem to be all working; when I home (G18), it seems like the software does not recognize the endstops at all and keeps the motors going.by tim3716 - Delta Machines
I am planning on making my own hall effect sensor with a A3144 sensor, but I am a bit confused on the wiring. Can you just wire it directly? A lot of other designs seem to have resistor and capacitors, and I dont know what their purpose is.by tim3716 - General
I just printed at 210 and and the print literally crumbled in my hands.by tim3716 - Printing
I am currently using an E3D Lite6 with a .4 nozzle in a bowden setup on my QUBD two up. If it was not clear in my original post I was asking for help on solving the problem of my printer not being able to print larger layers without having spotty extrusion. The spotty layers are extremely weak and it tends to split if any pressure is put on it. What I am confused about is that the extrusion multby tim3716 - Printing
When I print at less then .2 layer heights my prints come out almost impeccable but as soon as I step the layers to .2 or higher the layers don't have good adhesion and and it seems like the layers are under extruded.by tim3716 - Printing
Can someone give me a quick recap of the 11 pages? Is the SBASE board worth the money at the moment?by tim3716 - Controllers
I am trying to print this but I can because it is a solidworks file. Can some one convert it into an STL for me? This if for a school robot arm project.by tim3716 - General
I have a QUBD Two-up and it is a cheap printer but I was able to get some pretty stunning results from it. I am using a geared extruder and a E3D lite 6 hotend. So I know that printers at the moment are not super accurate so I am aware that there is some fiddling required to get everything to fit together right. When I print parts that require hex nuts, they never fit. I am fine with filing the pby tim3716 - Printing
So the solution to my problem is calibration right? Isn't setting the correct e steps for your extruder part of "calibrating"? I also do not know how to properly calibrate my printer. That is kind of the reason why I made this post in the first place. I have all my belt tight, pulleys secured, and current to my motors set. All I see left of calibration is the e steps. I am pretty sure all my hardby tim3716 - Printing
That's the thing... I already checked and rechecked the extruder steps before printing a test print.by tim3716 - Printing
So the first problem that I have is that my prints have little blobs in the lower left corner where the z axis is moved every layer. How do I fix this? I also have another problem with extrusion calibration where I set my e steps for my extruder, then I print out a .5mm thin wall test to set the extrusion multiplier in slicer. When I do this my prints turn out to be under extruded but if I increaby tim3716 - Printing
So you set your retraction to 9mm? Isn't that I little high?by tim3716 - General
What makes some printers need fans to cool the prints and some do not? I always had mine on because I saw so many other people using it with the same printer that I had (QUBD Two Up). I feel like my prints need it but many other people don't have a fan and they get some amazing results.by tim3716 - General
I am converting to bowden very soon and I was wondering what setting changes are needed other than the hardware.by tim3716 - General
