Hi, What issues are you facing?by prashantdshinde - Reprappers
Hi Pat McD, The G3D thing works...... , but I don't see the menu in the lcd. It only displays some values.. I have connected the click encoder as well..by prashantdshinde - Reprappers
OK, in simple sentence.... What should I connect to signal pin of Connector 2? And for what purpose?by prashantdshinde - Developers
Hi Traumflug, I have the setup the same as for Prusai3 3D Printer. I just want to know the purpose of the "Connector2" as the PSU will be connected to Connector1 & Heatbed will be connected to 'Heater". Will it be fine if I let the Connector2 empty without connecting anything to it? I am from Mechanical Engg background & has very little knowledge about electronics thatswhy I asked yoby prashantdshinde - Developers

Hello, I have assembled my reprap 3d printer with ATTMEGA2560, RAMPS1.4, LCD & click encoder. I have also modified the configuration.h & pins.h files for these hardware changes but lcd does not show any text. Had any one added a lcd + click encoder to his 3d printer? If YES can you let me know the changes in firmware files. I am attaching ine for ref. Regards, Prashant.by prashantdshinde - Reprappers
Hi Traumflug, I am still confused... Can you show me what is connected to what? in the ckt board.. What should be connected to below things:- 1. Connector1 - +12v... is this correct? 2. Connector2 - ?? where can I find free digital I/O pins??? 3. Heater -- heatbed ??? You mentioned RAMPS-provided heated bed connector is still free and can be used for other purposes How? Then where to connecby prashantdshinde - Developers
@Rob, I have created a seven switch 1.2 but unable to understand the connections to and fro from ramps/heatbed... Can you explain me the connections? Regards, Prashant.by prashantdshinde - Developers
@ Traumflug, I have assembled a seven switch 1.2. Con1 is PSU +12v, Con2 is.....? I don't understand what /where to connect this? Heater is heatbed connector. But both pins of Heater connector shows 12v & 11v resp. Please clarify. Please correct me if I am wrong. If you can show me some images with all connections on ramps1.4 that would be very helpful Regards, Prashantby prashantdshinde - Reprappers
Hi Zachisparanoid, I too got the same issue of melting the connector, but I used a large heatbed(10" x 10") without any relay. Did you used the same large heatbed? If yes, do you use any relay circuit to draw more current out of PSU? I tried connecting the #1 on J1 to PSU(ATX 450W) +12v pin on 20 pin connector as shown in image I am using 6 pin relay. But I was not successful to heat up theby prashantdshinde - Controllers
Hi Dave3d, Airculd, I made the relay circuit as per the image shown in - I hear the click sound when I turn ON the heatbed in Pronterface, But the heatbed is not getting heated. Any suggestions please.....by prashantdshinde - Reprappers
The motor works when connected to X, Y axis.... also it does when connected to E0/E1 but response is delayed.... It rotates with some time lapse.... Regards, Prashant.by prashantdshinde - Reprappers
Hello Dave3d, Thanks for the info... Mine relay is 6 Pin, DT90-1C-12VDC, (2 terminal for C, 2 for coil & 1 each for NO, NC) NO : 30A 250VAC, NC : 20A 250VAC It didn't specified much details but similar to Regards, Prashant.by prashantdshinde - Reprappers
@ dave3d, can you tell me how & where did you fitted the solid state relay, preferably a ckt diagram?? I have one lying idle at this moment, but I don't know how to use it. (12 Volt PCB Mount Relay - 30 Amp) That would be very kind of you... Regards, Prashant.by prashantdshinde - Reprappers
Hi, I am using following in my 3D printer. Arduino MEGA2560, RAMPS 1.4, ATX PSU, Marlin firmware, 300x300 heatbed. Yesterday when I started the printer, I felt something burnt & that was the PSU connector which is connected to RAMPS. What could be the reason for this? Anybody had such issue?? I am using large heatbed without any relay. Is any relay necessary to fetch correct Amperes for lby prashantdshinde - Reprappers
I tried switching themotors.... it works fine. Motor is not at fault. I even tried switching another pololu driver, still it does not work. Any changes to be made in pins.h file for ATMEGA2560, marlin firmware?by prashantdshinde - Reprappers
hi, I have done it correctly everything you mentioned. Also I swapped the pololu drivers and checked, but no success.... Regards, Prashant.by prashantdshinde - Reprappers
Hello, I am using Prusa i3 3D printer. When I extrude manually some filament from extruder using Pronterface, the extruder motor does not respond. Does anyone had this issue? Regards, Prashant.by prashantdshinde - Reprappers
