It sounds like a classic case of a loose x-motor toothed pulley. Check that the grub screw engages the flat on the motor shaft correctly and has not loosened.by BillC54 - Mendel90

This thread for me epitomises RepRap and what the whole project is about, let alone the forum. Like minded people, pioneers of the accumulated knowledge, and with practical experience gained in years of involvement with the project, cooperating to better an already good design. Each contibutor here, if driven only by financial greed would be jealously protecting their own commercialised offerinby BillC54 - General

Viktor, Seen a few users posting questions at you here, so thought I would join them. I am launching inventory control software as a service at mystockonline dot net and wonder whether its appropriate to post in the For Sale forum to attract RepRap Vendors who may be struggling in this area. If it is not appropriate and this post needs to be removed, please just go ahead and remove it. I'll haby BillC54 - Administration, Announcements, Policy
Can you confirm both motors are same make and model? If not there is a risk they will never work well together. Do you get identical multimeter readings when you test the identical wire pairs from both motors? I have found it a good idea to solder wire connections and then use block connectors on the soldered joint - just to ensure good contact on all the wires.by BillC54 - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
Bob, What happens when you create subfolders under sent? Can you move sent posts into those?by BillC54 - Administration, Announcements, Policy
Not sure what happened here - my response was not to this post.... Billby BillC54 - Administration, Announcements, Policy
I would have to agree. The electronics are skated over in most build logs - perhaps because the "official" RAMPS kits etc are simply plug this one here and that one there, but for a newcomer like myself, who is buying on the street in the Philippines, the lack of detail has been painful. I made the all day journey to Manila and bought my Arduino clone board (only thing available in country) anby BillC54 - General
Not a Sanguinololu but similar problem on an arduino168 with Win 7 64 bit. I was only successful in uploading from the Arduino IDE after this series of steps. 1. Opened Device Manager (via Control Panel) 2. AVRStudio Beta had installed Jungo USB control - Uninstall 3. Find the COM3 port created by FTDI drivers - Uninstall 4. Restart PC and then plug in the USB for Arduino 5. Let Windows find anby BillC54 - Sanguino(lolu)
Thanks Joeglens. E-Gizmo did the business. They only sell surplus motors but after a little time I got what I need for the wolfstrap and also some larger motors for a diy cnc machine. Amazed to see they also have a large range of ballscrews at very reasonable prices. The Gizduino uses Atmega168, and their new micro-stepping card is also just right for a repstrap. Now I only need to find/buy/mby BillC54 - Philippines RepRap User Group
Hello Pare, Just arrived in Tagaytay from Singapore and about to start my first 3D printer. Who can give me a good source for motors and electronics in MM/Alabang/Tagaytay? I am almost complete with a design for a T-slot bot, but looks like I will be starting with a wolfstrap while I source the aluminium (yes I'm a Scot). Surprised to find this is still available. I just downloaded 7.61 beta 8 and all the tutorial files and help file. When I last looked at TS it was avery capable prog. While I can see that lack of ongoing development might stop it becoming the product of choice over AoI, it will do me just fine for the foreseeable future. Billby BillC54 - 3D Design tools
