You should not be able to wiggle it by hand. Anything tighter than that will deform the wheels though.von Srek - Mechanics
This usually happens if the hotend parts are not screwed together tight enough. They basically seal by deforming slightly. Depending on the hotend it is a delicate act to find the point where it is tight enough without ripping the heat brake.von Srek - Printing

QuoteBoKKeR Oh God No! Please check the original products link. It consists of 2 and magnetic Sheets. One you glue down on the bed and one that you put on top. The one on top is sticking to the one on the bottom. I printed on the one on the top but it started to wrap at the edges. I would say that the top sheet has lost its magnetism That’s whati meant. You need an additional top layer on the topvon Srek - Printing
You used a magnetic foil directly to print on? I can see why this went wrong. The printhead will heat up the foil well beyond what it is meant to withstand and it will loose magnetism. You always need a top layer, be it FR4, PEI, steel, Buildtak or whatever.von Srek - Printing
Another thing, the double sided tape used on that is only rated for 90°C long term, you should try to use 3M 9473 instead.von Srek - Printing
Was it glued to the bed? I am using magnetic setups as well and never observed anything like this. While the magnetic foil is pretty soft and can deform easily when hot it does not exert a lot of force. Correctly glued it shouldn't warp at all.von Srek - Printing
The size of the bend could just be a few 1/10mm and would easily produce that wobble. As dc42 said. Check the pitch of the rod against the wobble. If they match it is z-wobble. Basically no z rod is absolutely straight. Usually you try to minimize the bend and compensate for the rest that is left by using an anti z-wobble solution (check thingiverse). Even if you were to get a perfectly straightvon Srek - Reprappers
That looks like massive z wobble. Is your z rod bent?von Srek - Reprappers

At 70 bucks the wallace is as cheap as it gets. Chances are it will work but will require a lot of fiddeling until it does. Due to its flimsy construction you won't be able to print very reliable or precise. The whole RepRap idea has come to a standstill after the Mendel has been turned into what are now the Prusa and it's many clones. While the Prusa still has quite a few printed parts it does rvon Srek - General

My direct drive extruder works fine with Nema 14 as well. I used them in the past but had problems. Later it turned out the problem was a design issue and that Nema 14 is sufficient. Maybe i switch back to it at some point, vut currently there is no need.von Srek - General
I still have a wade running in my old machine (8 years now) and it does a very good job, even though its strength is wasted on the 1.75mm filament and the Merlin hotend. With 1.75mm filament there is no real need for a geared extruder, yes, the theoretical resolution is better, but i can't say i have seen that this ever mattered to me. At Protoworx they use simple direct drive extruders with a Mvon Srek - General
I can see the use of a dual hobbed extruder to minimize the damage to the filament, but tbh a well adjusted idler strength will do the job 99% of the time just as good. For me the two most important things to maximize extruder strength and speed are exact guidance of the filament, no kinks around the hobbed idler or similar, and a hotend that requires minimal pressure.von Srek - General
For me a reason to not do it is that it is unnecessary. I have thought about filament transportation with multiple points of contact, but in the end they did not offer any advantage. A well designed classic direct drive will develop enough force for well over 100mm/s. Another issue is size, such a setup will be larger than a single point of contact drive.von Srek - General
