Love watching the development of the Hangprinter. Impressive.
I want to print large vase mode sculptures. Is there a spreadsheet or calculator for size (height and floor space needed) based on printable volume? I used something like thIs for a delta printer idea a while ago. Is the volume a cone shape?
And would PETG be possible?

I just built the same printer but without the autoleveling.
Build videos:
Tronxy X3 Build Part 1 - YouTube
Tronxy X3 Build Part 2 - YouTube
First Print - YouTube
The firmware was preinstalled. If you see text on your LCD, then it's already working.
Most likely, the printer is never getting to temp--it get close but never reaches it. The PID may need tuning. I found I could cheat a little but

All of the sudden my printer has start to shift on the Y axis mid print after several hours of printing. Attached is a photo of what it looks like...
It will shift in the same direction it seems every time then resume printing normally for a few layers then shift again etc etc... anyone know whats going on here?
Seems like something might be binding. Bearings dry? Does the belt ha

Not a fan of acrylic. All of my motor mounts had cracks, so needed replacements. Couldn't find any files online, so I measured and made my own. Hopefully this is helpful to others.

I highly recommend OctoPrint. I've been running it on a Raspberry Pi 2 with another printer for a few months. It is a great addition. Control your printer from a web browser interface from any device (pc, phone, tablet) that is connected to it on your network. Add a camera to see a live feed and it will record time-lapse video of your print. It also draws the code paths--if your browser can handl

how can i do PID to the bed ?? when printing ABS it take more then 10min to get it to 100c (but when ig get is stay level very good)
The speed the bed heats up has nothing to do with PID. PID is like cruise control on a car. You set the value and PID does it's best to compensate for hills and valleys. But getting to speed, the gas pedal is floored and can only go as fast as the motor--

Simplify3D is compatible with P802M?
Yes if you set up for your machine. Start with an existing profile from Cura or the like and copy the values over. My computer took a dump on me so I lost some settings, and had to print replacements for my cracked motor mounts.Once I get it moving again, I'll work up a starting profile. Have been having inconsistent bed leveling.
Seems silly

I really have trouble to print something with my P802M; the filament do not attach well so just at the second pass a part of the printed PLA goes away attacched to the nozzle.. any suggestions?
You have to get the first layer perfect. Without the first layer right, nothing else matters.

WOW!!!
Thanks for making this available. Is it OK for me to add these to the P802M parts?
Certainly! I'd be honored.

Both of my z motor mounts and my y motor mount cracked. Not a fan of acrylic.
After searching what I could, I gave up and modeled my own z and y replacement mounts. Just printed the parts on another i3 I have and installed them. They fit well and are near exact replacements.
Here are the STLs if you ever need them.

Not really, I have gotten the parts list down to about 285$ now for the entire printer. Once you know where to go, you can order all the parts very quickly.
Care to share where do you go? Linear rails? Better motors? Extrusions? AliExpress?

The other calculator simply multiples the horizontal extrusion length by 0.8 resulting in 240mm for rod length and no account for effector or rail offsets.
I posted a link earlier to a far more detailed delta calculator which takes into account more offsets.

Is the LCD Controller worth buying, if so which one?
Either works fine with Reptier firmware--not certain with Marlin. The graphic one seems to be a little snappier for me.
It is totally worth it for the SD card slot. My computer went to sleep during a long print wrecking it. I also had hiccups in prints while I was using my computer while it was printing in the background. Printing d

Got my kit. No hardware kit. Not even crossed off on the check list. Kinda pissed. Send them an email (Kind) hopefully I get my hardware kit ASAP
Sheesh! Would have hoped that worked has the packing issues worked out by now. A bad thing all around. Loss of time and profit for them, and an extra pain for you. Email Dan there or support. It does take time -- yeah, a pain -- but they d

Test each color of filament. I have PLA filament that pints differently for each. Also, not certain of the accuracy of my printer's temperature reading. For me, the translucent red PLA is 180C, black PLA I have is 185C, glow in the dark green PLA is 190C, white PLA is 205C, Magenta PETG is best for me at 220C--sticker on it says best at 230C-250C. It sputtered and was super stringy at that temp.

Check the contrast, too. Small chance it just might be this.
I bumped the adjustment and thought my screen was not working. Updated the firmware. Checked the cabling. Tested everything I could find. Oops. I bumped the adjustment setting to to the lowest point so everything was invisible. Works fine, now.

Hi, I'm new to 3D printing, this will be my first printer can't wait for it to get here!
I ordered my Kossel from Folger tech on March 10... I emailed on about the 25th and by the 27th they emailed me back and said that -they received the wrong T nuts - and that there was 16 orders in front of me -and my order should ship by the end of next week (today is the 1st day of the week -so en

I calculated mine using the spreadsheet from Jaydmdigital's github and set mine to 272mm (271.6mm) to hit 198.2 diameter. My actual vertical is now just a bit over 200mm. But when/if I rebuild it, I can move the rails up and gain about 30-35mm in height. And possibly another 20mm if I lower the bed with a custom mount. I added springs so I can manually level the bed. Haven't maxed out the height

I modeled and uploaded to Thingiverse a power cord strain relief.
I was nervous how the power cord is just screwed to the power supply terminals. Pretty simple but effective.

What are you guys using for bed adhesion?
PLA works great on a cold bed with blue painters tape--I used ACE hardware store's brand. Sticks almost too well. Better to waste tape than time on a failed print. Tried Blue Hawk's super wide tape from Lowe's. Prints kept popping off early. Too bad. Very wide tape and smoother surface. Tried blue painters tape from Big Lots cheap, but parts don't stick

What width 20T pulleys are you guys getting?
I got my 20-tooth pulleys from TriDPrinting for $10.90 for three shipped in the States.
I think they are about 7 or 8 mm wide. Fine for the 6mm GT2 belts.

With the australian exchange rate the way it is at the moment once I add international shipping the cost goes up from Microcenter. I have asked hobbyking about PETG(which sounds good) and they say they will be getting it in. I think they intend to launch their own printer soon.
Didn't mean to assume you were in the States, and I've waited my fair share for HobbyKing shipments to here.

I also received a shipping label last week with no further movment. I emailed them and was quickly advised this was a due to some issues with the inventory on parts and the kit is experiencing a delay of an additional 4-5 days.
The line of communication is open and prompt. Hopefully we will see our kits being shipped this week.

I did not use any supports on the ears. The overhang capability of the printer is quite good, and I was using no fan. If you are familiar with this file, you will know that the tips of his ears hang down to about a negative 15 degrees, and no FFF machine can handle that without supports. You can see that the tips of his ears did not print on mine, but, this printer handled the

Sounds like your expectations were tested.
Hopefully folger have been more diligent in their efforts without the pressure of the holiday season. Im looking forward to see what I can do with the printer. Glad to have a found a solid support base here.

My experience with FolgerTech is they communicate at the barest minimum. Other than evolving instructions and not knowing I bought into a beta, they have come through, albeit not as fast as I hoped. I ordered my printer December 6 and received it January 2. They were inundated with holiday orders. It was shipped without the LCD controller I ordered and missing some parts. I documented, according

I am using basically the same filament holder as you except mine has two roller bearings in it for super low friction movement of the spool. I uploaded my version to thingiverse here:
I got 2 bearings delivered for $3.30 here:

I added a model to Thingiverse for a replacement spool holder. Good for spools up to 70mm wide. I added two--a straight one and an angled one. The angled one's feed path is better and it is flush with one side.

Extruder question...
My extruder does not want to pull filament through unless I give it an extra push. It's not clogged, it's just like it does not have enough strength to pull it (it just wiggles back n forth) but if I add pressure it does feed as expected. I did measure the voltage at .55 as specified. I also tried a new stepper board thinking it may be faulty but same beh
