So, it's tested and it works in it's entirety. Automatic SD detaction is not available, but you can refresh the LCD and it will detect a new SD card. So you dont have to use a SD port on the bord, with this setup you can use SD card direct from the LCD. Hope I have helped somebody. Here I will attach a pinout that is final and correct.
Update: the new revision of the Megatronics 3.0 board has th

So, update -
Pin 6 on SDOUT (SS) connects to pin 4 on EXP2 (SD_CSEL) - as I can see from ramps board pin D53 is SD_SS which corresponds to the pin 6 (SS) on the megatronics v3 - , and for the pin 7 on EXP2 (SD_DET) - it is stated in marlin (for megatronics v3) that the board does not use the sd card detection.
So that should be it. I will test this as soon as I can.

Thanks -Nx-. I tried to make the wiring myself and then I saw this post. It helped a lot. I have made 2 pdfs - 1) a scheme of wiring and 2) pin numbers with their corresponding names - same colors as in the scheme.
I tried also to connect SD card using SDOUT on Megatronics v3. I didn't try it on board yet - can you tell me if the wiring is right and where to connect pins 2 and 6 on SDOUT (maybe

So I have been trying to make a scheme of how to connect these two - and this is what I came up with (after some time I stumbled upon this and compared it to my own - it helped a lot - ).
I still do not know how to connect pins 2 and 6 on SDOUT (Megatronics v3). They should connect to pins 4 and 7 on EXP2 (LCD module) but how?
I attached 2 files - one with the scheme and second with pin number

Reprappers
Hi,
currently I am building a printer with Megatronics v3 board and it is nearly done. One of the things I would have to add is an LCD (RepRapDiscount Smart Controller). The adapter for the v2 board does not work (it does not fit because of the termistor connectors that get in the way) and I can't find any other adapters for v3 board. Is there any other way to connect the LCD to the board?

Hello everyone,
at the end it was the stepstick... Sometimes it would pass the current to the motor, sometimes not... I swapped it with another one and all works well now.
Thank you!

Thank you all. I will try everything that you said when I get the time. Where can I activate/deactivate retraction in marlin? Configuration.h? I can't find it.

Printing
Hi,
My friend and me are currently working on his Prusa i3 and there are some retraction problems. If we set the printer to retract in Pronterface - it does so, but when it is printing it does not retract - quite the opposite - it extracts more (the length that is set to retract in slic3r). Furthermore - if we set the retraction and extra extrusion (we thought that the two might be switched in s

Hello everyone
so, today i got my new LCD controller. I connected it and made adjustment in Marlin firmware.
Without the USB connected the LCD didn't worked so I suspected there's something wrong with Arduino mega 2650. And it is - it doesn't work even when additional adapter is plugged (5 V pin is fried or something?), but it works normally connected via USB.
But here is the problem - the LC

Prusa i3 and variants
Looks like that was it. I guess i should lower the acceleration and buy new locking bolts for my pulley. Than you ggherbaz!

I tried to rotate the pulley and it didn't seem like it was slipping. I will tighten it as much as I can and try again. Also, I thought I was using too much memory because I was running an 3D modeling software, but without any software running other than pronterface, it still has the skip every now and then...

Printing
Hi,
I have been using Prusa i3 as my printer for about 3 months. We had minor problems so far, nothing unfixable. But now, the X axis has started skipping, always away from the endstop. I am sure that it's not the belt. The motor is not getting hot at all. The last skip was 3 cm, and that worried me.
Any suggestions?

The nozzle came with the kit from Replikeo: 3D printer Prusa Mendel i3 EiNSTeiN... It says there it's a J-Head, what variant i do not know... Yes, it's aluminum... Thanks nophead, I'll look it up.

Printing
Hi,
so, i build my Prusa i3 not so long ago (1 week) printing went fine until i tried to print something bigger. All of a sudden nothing came out of the hot end, the hobbed bolt was just chewing the filament... I checked everything and got to the conclusion that it was the J-Head... I tried to clean the nozzle but I can't disassemble it. When the nozzle is cold i can only push the filament as sh

OK, figured it out, it's Slic3r. Start G-code is: G28 ; home all axes G1 Z5 F5000 ; lift nozzle
So it lifts nozzle but it doesn't lower it down... another line in G-code is the answer maybe?

I drilled the hole. It extrudes just fine now. I tries to print the callibration model 0,5 thin wall, but the Z axis moved about 1 cm up and then started printing. I guess it's firmware again... I am looking into it now.

Here, I configured the firmware and hardware: Y endstop is now on the ramps min, X is max(i don't have an option to mount it on the left side, but when i start to print myself i will do it as soon as possible) and z is min, also in firmware. SteveRoy: the instruction helped me to understand better the whole concept of endstops in firmware. Now, everything homes perfectly. Thank you so much guys!

The problem was with the power supply, I connected it to the wrong connection on the ramps and therefore the motors did not have enough power to move.

Also, I noticed that Replikeo have send me an extruder body for 1,75 mm filament and not for 3mm (what I ordered) - idler and coldend are all for 3mm, the filament i received is also 3mm. Can I just drill the 3mm hole? Of course I contacted Replikeo, but no answer. Even if they send me another part it would take ages to come to me - I'm from Croatia....

Hi,
Prusa i3 with arduino mega 2560 board and ramps 1.4 - everything build and connected, ready to start. I uploaded the firmware, and installed Pronterface (I am using Marlin). Considering this is my first printer, I am lost.
Everything works 1. motor for extruder is turning the right way, X-axis is going right when I press +X, Y-axis is going towards me when I press +Y (not sure if that is o

Hi,
I assembled the Prusa i3 printer (DIY kit from Replikeo) and everything was ok until I tried to move the axis. Installing the firmware was smooth but, when I open Pronterface moving the axis is not possible. When I click on a button to move any axis nothing happens - not even a new line in command line or a sound from the motors on the printer.
Also, I tried the Repetier host - the same thi
