I finally got my BL Touch installed and working with my Rambo 1.3L controller. All commands listed on the instructions work, The only modification I had to make to them was to change M340 PO S700 to M340 P0 S647 and M340 P0 S1500 to M340 P0 S1473. Commands G29 & G30 work fine. The probe changes from solid red to blue, the probe deploys, it travels to the appropriate coordinates, descends

I’ve decided to ditch my precision piezo for a BL Touch but I’m not sure of the connections. I’m sure the 3 wire plug goes to the Z Minimum end stop but I’m not sure about the 2 wire servo connection. I’ve seen posts about positions 22 and 44 but don’t see those numbers on the board. I’m using Repetier firmware. Can anyone post their firmware settings and maybe a pic of the board connection?

Thanks for the input. As much as I like 3D printing everything becomes a chore. What should be a simple swap out is another exercise in frustration. I gave up on the fan for my e3d a long time ago. Finally made a water cooling jacket for it and haven’t had filament issues since then but now the water pump needs to be replaced. Fixed one issue just to create another.

I’ve tried that with no success. Everything from barely snug to tight and everything in between. Probe speeds from 5mm/s to 12. It always trips with a light tap when traveling to home and pushes the bed down once it makes contact.

My Orion V1 started to act up and since its always been a pita to adjust the pot I decided to get a new V2.
It's turned out not to be a simple swap and go. After installation and wiring it to the digital pins I adjusted the pot so it trips with very light pressure. When homed and its lowering to the bed I can bump the hot end and it immediately retracts. If I let it lower to the bed it hits th

I started having problems with my E3D and tried new thermistors, new fans, new filament, you name it I tried it. I finally made a water cooling jacket and all my problems stopped. Haven’t had a problem since then.

Printing
I've searched the internet and can't find any information on my issue.
My printers piezo Z probe and bed leveling have been working fine. The printer sat unused for a month. When I started Rep Host I was prompted for the latest update which I did. After updating I loaded a G code and immediately started getting the following fatal error: ".fatal; G32 leveling failed! Printer stopped and heaters

Thanks but I'm replacing a functioning proximity sensor with the piezo.

Great news. Have tried with no luck so far but I'll figure it out.
Is there any basic code I need to add somewhere?
Hopefully someone that uses repetier firmware will chime in.
Thanks

After reading through this thread it seems as tho the precision piezo has been developed to only work with the Duet control board and RRF or Marlin firmware. I didn't realize this when I ordered my Orion. Has anyone had success with repetier firmware?
My printer is a heavily modified Mendel Max 1.5 (I call it a MyMax) with a RAMBO control board and Repetier firmware.
I haven't been able to find

I don't see any drawings or dimensions on your website I'm interested in the Orion module. What is the size of the upper mount and how much does the pcb stick out from the mount?

If anyone else is having a similar issue the solution for me was to add a L7805 voltage regulator to the probe. I've only seen it required for the blue tip BX sensor but it took care of my problem with the orange BY sensor.

Thank you for the suggestions.
I believe the schematic you show is for the blue tip BX sensor. Although I have one that is wired as you show it affects my printer more than the orange tip. It makes the Z axis move in the wrong direction and won't home at all. Again, I've changed the pullup settings (enable/disable), Z axis direction, etc and nothing works.
I come closer to having the Z stop wo

I have a Rambo that I'm changing end stops on. Right now I have a mechanical y stop, opto x and I'm trying to set up a LJ12A3-4-Z/BY orange tip proximity sensor for Z min. X and Y work fine. When I try homing the Z axis the probe triggers and the printer completely stops. I can't move any axis in any direction. Also, when the Z triggers I can't get it to retract 2mm and do a final homing. I

I found I had the same problems and couldn't get rid of them no matter what I tried. I had been using Slic3r and decided to try another program. First time I sliced the same file with Cura they disappeared.

I'm trying to run it on Win 7 64 bit and having the same problem with the program closing when I try to add an stl file to the plater.
Once it's done infilling layers it closes.

I want to replace my 608ZZ bearings with something better (roller would be nice).
Haven't been able to find any recommendations that have the same dimensions.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, I forgot to change the firmware home positions to negative bed left and bed front values.
Problem solved.

Still can't get it to work.
When I set x home to -29 and home the extruder it indicates that it's moving to -29 but once it reaches home it resets showing its current position as 0, not -29.

I'm having an issue with my printer shape settings. No matter what values I enter I can't get proper movement.
These are my parameters;
bed left 29
bed right 23
print area width 200
print area height 200
No matter what values I enter all movements start from my end stop position. So when I send a G1 X100 command it moves 100mm from the end stop and stops 29mm short of bed center. I've tri

Like cozmicray said, when printing smaller parts you need to print multiple pieces to give them time to cool between layers. For something that small you should probably be printing 6 at a time.

My pg35l extruder works fine on small prints but when I run longer sketches it stops extruding after about 1.5 hours. I thought it was the nozzle plugging up but this last time after killing the print I sent a manual extrude command and it worked fine. I'm thinking maybe the driver current setting is wrong. Has anyone else experienced this? I assume I should start by lowering the current?

My current extruder uses a Kysan NEMA 17 stepper which I want to change to a PG35L. The Kysan is 4.2 volts and the PG35L is 12 volts.
I can't find anything that tells me if or what changes I need to make to the Ramps or Arduino to accommodate the higher voltage.
Do I just plug it in and forget about it?
Thanks in advance-

Can't thank you enough. I made all the changes you suggested and it seems to be working much better. Adding the G92 command to the start code solved the retraction problem at the beginning of trhe print but now it does the same thing at the end of the print. Only now it probably makes 10 complete revolutions before stopping.
Would a G92 end code do anything?
Thanks again for the help,

Thanks Rep,
I made the changes and when I try to run a sketch and it moves to position to start the skirt the filament retracts completely out of the extruder. Any suggestions?
