Hi all,
Just returned from the 3d Printshow in London where the FoodForm3d was debut. Andrew Leek helped us out with the Repetier CoreXZ firmware earlier in August. Check out some images:

Repetier-Host has indeed gone closed since that version. See the discussion here: http://forums.reprap.org/read.php?267,313864.
To get a change log, from Repetier-Host, go to Help -> Check for updates and you will get a window like:

Well, It is damn easy to connect in both ways! Repetier-Server via the Browser, or Repetier-Host via TCP connection and utilizing socat (adding here in case others are wondering):
first install socat:
sudo apt-get install socat
then activate it:
sudo socat TCP-LISTEN:5577,reuseaddr file:/dev/ttyACM0,raw,echo=0
From Repetier-Host create a new printer with a TCP/IP connection:

This happened to me, but with Slic3r (not sure if it is relevant for Cura). What I did to fix it was to make sure there was a bit of space between the corner and my object, even 1mm fixed it. If I am not mistaken, it has to do with how the slicing software determines the middle of the object. I found that objects with a corner at exactly 0,0 did not get a correct object center parameter sent t

Hello @repetier,
I had some time this weekend to install and configure Repetier-Server and downloaded and installed the Repetier-Host 1.02 windows version. After a small update in the small plugin I write for some extra controls (2 new interface methods to implement, nothing major) I was up and running with the new Repetier-Host version.
Repetier-Server was a nice experience as I am not too wel

Hello All!
Was wondering if anyone could help to point me in the right direction to modify the firmware to support a corexz gantry system? I've been studying how the corexy was implemented, but any tips on what to look out for in order to get corexz working properly would be very appreciated.
Thx!

As my original post states, I want to avoid the physical cable shifting (which I am doing now), and invert it in the firmware.
Thanks!

Thank you for the reply.
The config tool is great, but does not let you define additional axis motors for dual motor configurations, and thus does not let you invert new, additional axis motors. This was introduced in Firmware version .83 I believe, so at the moment I modify the config to add the extra motor. But in the file, there is no 'if you are defining a dual X,Y,or Z motor setup, do you

Hello!
I have a dual Y setup and is working just fine. Just a bit of an annoyance is that the second Y stepper needs to be inverted, so I just switch two of the pins coming from the motor. Is there a way to invert a second y motor from the firmware? With .91 firmware I have this in the Configuration.h:
// Inverting axis direction
#define INVERT_X_DIR false
#define INVERT_Y_DIR true

Thanks for the reply. I've created one useful plugin for my purposes (Valve On / Off buttons) so it is already becoming very interesting. Most of my plugin ideas deal with some basic modelling capabilities, like 3D fonts. I have some basic code for OpenGL that I have been working with, and I am now just learning to use OpenTK. I can see a few options:
Create a new modelling window in the mai

Ok, if I place my piece anywhere else than on 0,0, then it is fine. I moved the piece to 1,1 and the gcode is generated without any issues. Try this with a box with one corner at 0,0 and another corner at 20,20 for example. Such a piece can be placed at 0,0 and the object lies within the print space. Anyways, onward!

The only thing that seems to control this 'print center' argument is the Printer Settings. In Printer Settings, if I change the Print Area Width and Depth, when I go to slice, the --print-center location is changed to reflect center of the width, but the other dimension stays at 50 units. I am using a Classic Printer profile. I guess I will revert back to .90 where these issues never came up..

Hello,
Was reluctant to upgrade to .95 after my first attempt were not so successful with slicing. Another thread here helped me with the sli3r directory settings. I have another issue that I did not have with .90 which also deals with sli3r, but not sure how to fix it.
The gcode generated is not in the position I want it. I have a piece at 0,0 which is the bottom left corner of my machine

I was pretty excited to see that Repetier is moving towards some plugin architecture. I am wondering how much will be exposed, for example, lets say I want to add 3D modelling capabilities (very basic to start with) to make basic letters. Is there a path that exists to add geometry to the preview window? This is just to prepare myself for trying out some plugins. If this is not exposed yet, w

Wanted to report that the Development Branch of the Repetier Firmware (0.9) is compiling and working ok. I was able to activate dual Y stepper drivers easily, and I manually flipped the Y2 stepper cabling in order for the two steppers to travel in the 'same' direction. (Maybe add in individual stepper direction inverting in the firmware?)
A word of caution to others trying it out, the dev bran

Thanks a lot...will report back after testing.

Hello! While not a question about Repetier Host (which is working great for me), I hope that you might be able to help me with a Firmware question, or at least guide me to how I could start to modify things.
I have a setup which is not utilizing the extruder drivers. I have 4 steppers, with a Dual Y configuration. Before, I have driven the Y steppers together from one driver. I have now swit
