One crazy idea that i just had would be to mirror the print bed and the arms, so that with the same number of motor and rails it would print two objects in just one print job. I added two photos to show the way i connected it wrong. I only connected three pins instead of the four of them. Looking at it closer the middle pin of the Mosfet has a little black spot. When you say FET is it a short for Mosfet? How do i check the gate voltage/control pin? I guess i have to use the multimeter, my question is on what points? Nice concept! I do have one idea similar to this concept (but its the arm that goes up on the Z) and from that i come up with one similar to the PiMaker. I do hope that the software for this type of printers gets some development because thats the reason my ideas are not getting more developments. I had to repair a crimp connector on my heatbed and when i connected everything and turned on the heatbed to print i realized that i had connected the things wrong! The smoke i saw coming from the board helped me to realize that.... Result: now when i turn the heat on to 60º for example it just keeps on going on and on...it just ignores the temperature i set, but it gives me the reading of the tby pdesigns - Reprappers

i also have been looking at the rostock marlin adaptation and comparing it to the the mendel version trying to understand what was needed to change. but the more i look the less i´m feel like i have any skill to change it Besides the design that its on my mind would require me to divide the print area in two, with a positive and a negative side, and when the hotend would move from one to the oby pdesigns - Reprappers

What do one needs to do to change a Cartesian firmware like Marlin or Repetier and make it to work with printers like Rostock and Morgan? Hi Ian That printer is called Prusa Air, and its not the Prusa I3. i´ve build a Prusa Air as my first RepRap and i have to say that the frame is not very rigid, and i don´t think that just because its in aluminum is going to make such a big difference. have a look at Prusa I3 : or Mendel90: and compare the frame designs. So i did a first basic model: i´m basing the build on the X and Z axis design of the FoldaRap, witch right now only have small tweaks (still on initial fase!) I also plan to use the RepRapPro hotend. Now i´m going to work on the print bed mechanism, and it will be the first part to get a real development. I will not add a heated bed for the first prototype. I´ve given it a little more thinking. One mechanical issue that is troubling me is the wiring of the heatbed..having wires arranged in a way that they don't get tangled is not going to be easy! But the idea of the printrbot mix, having the arm moving back and forth is interesting. I might try and test it some of these days.. I might start with two pillars with a simple axis in conjunction with a rotating table, and if that provides interesting result then explore this approach.
