I was looking at the raspi tft's. That's why they don't have sccard slots. The dual mode tfts have scard slots, but those all have the rotary dial which I don't really want. I just wanted a 5inch touch screen with no dial and a sdcard slot.by CVRIV - General
I dont see any sccard slots on anybody the newer tft displaysby CVRIV - General
I noticed that the new btt tft35/50/70 displays don't have a sdcard slot anymore. I have four printers that all use an octopus and a older tft35 with a sdcard slot. This is how I was running my printers. I'm pretty sure the micro sdcard slot on the octopus can be used, but I don't want to do that because my control boards are behind my printers and are hard to access. How do I add an extendedby CVRIV - General
Ok. Thanks.by CVRIV - General
I have 4 identical COREXY machines that all have the BTT Octopus v1.1 board with TMC2209 drivers. The drivers have heatsinks and fans to keep them cool. I also only run the XY drivers at 1000mA to keep the steppers cooler. The sensorless homing with one of my machines is suddenly triggering way too soon. It doesn't seem to happen when I first turn the machine on to test it out, but if I cancelby CVRIV - General
I'm trying to run my 24V printer fast with a 0.6mm nozzle. I need lots of heat to prevent cold extrusion during the print. Here's my settings: Marlin Config: #define HEATER_0_MAXTEMP 325 #define HOTEND_OVERSHOOT 15 BTT Touchscreen Config: max_temp:T0:340 T1:340 T2:340 T3:340 T4:340 T5:340 BED:100 CHAMBER:60 Up until now these have been fine. Ever since I started setting the hotend to 300deg Iby CVRIV - General
So I found something weird with my BTT Octopus v1.1 board. The board with the blown mosfet has a 10 Ohm resistor between the mosfet's gate and the IC fan buffer. IT's like this for all the fans on that board. It's suppose to be 10K Ohm according to the schematic. I checked another board and it has all 10K Ohm resistors from the IC buffer and all the gates. What's going on here? So again, the fanby CVRIV - General
Wow. I didn't know there was a diagram online for these. I found the pin-out diagram. Thanks a ton.by CVRIV - General
I have 5 of these boards. The other 4 work fine. This one particular board refuses to z-align. Everything else works just fine. It will level the bed, home all axes, but when ingo to do z-align from menu, it will just probe the center of the bed once and that its. I dont get it. What do you think? Im running the latest Marlin or 2.something. All of my printers are using the same configuration wby CVRIV - General
It's associated with CNC_FAN1 and I think it's not working. My extruder cooling fan shorted and fried this little guy... I think it's a mosfet. The one next to it might not be working as well because my doomas decided to plug the fan into that one to test to make sure it is the fan that's dead, because it's a bit of a pain to change that fan. Anywho.... What happened was that the wires attacheby CVRIV - General
This is how i fixed my problem. These pulleys suck. The bearings are horrible. Might try and redesign my machines to use 5mm bearings somehow.by CVRIV - CoreXY Machines
Ok. I swapped out the Octopus board of the faulty machine and installed another one and now that machine works fine. There has to be something wrong with the control board. I have no idea what's going on with it because like I said the BLTouch works for other tasks. sucks.by CVRIV - Firmware - Marlin
So the order of the z steppers are all in the right order across all three machines. G34 works for two machine but probing fails immediately for the one machine. I swapped out the BLTouch of the faulty machine with one that works and there's no change. the BLTouch sensors all work. I have to check the BLTouch wire for the faulty machine now. I hope its not the board. Like I said though, the probeby CVRIV - Firmware - Marlin
So here's an update. I shelved my blue machine and started finishing up the other two machines. Those two machine auto align the z steppers fine. LOL. I will double check to make sure the z steppers are in the correct order. Im going to check to make sure the BLTouch connections are good too, but the BLTouch works for homing and bed leveling as well so this is weird.by CVRIV - Firmware - Marlin
Oh my goodness. For the life of me I can't figure out what's going on here. I trying to get my machine to auto align the z steppers. Firstly, I attached my config files. I don't know how to retrieve or log debugging info so I attached the error my display is showing me. My machine uses 4 steppers for the z axis. I'm very nearly sure I did everything right, but I'm getting this probing failure.by CVRIV - Firmware - Marlin
Nevermind. I figured it out. The travel speed associated with using the display controls is governed via my display's firmware.by CVRIV - General
When use the controls, via my display, to move the carriage around on the x, y, and z axis.... Which setting in Marlin governs that travel speed? I want to slow down my z travel speed because my steps per mm are very high because of the lead screws im using.by CVRIV - General
Nevermind. I figured it out. I was doing it completely wrong. I was tired and burned out.by CVRIV - Firmware - Marlin
I designed a CoreXY machine and its pretty built and ready for firmware. I did a basic configuration of the bugfix_2.0.x version of Marlin just to see if there were any errors before making all the very specific changes. After flashing the machine with the new firmware, i noticed that i have no status screen and there's no pre-heat menu either. All i see is Ready in the top left of the screenby CVRIV - Firmware - Marlin
Maybe I'm seriously misunderstanding something here. I have a BTT SKR 1.3 and TMC2208's in UART by default; I confirmed that there's a J2 resistor on each driver. I set the BTT SKR 1.3 for UART via these instructions: I then did what I needed to do in the firmware via these instructions: I'm pretty sure everything is setup right but when I changed the current limit for each stepper, I'm noby CVRIV - General
So.... I'm hearing some knocking noises when bed leveling. The knocking is from the z-axis stepper coming to an abrupt stop. It's not even moving all that fast either, 9mm/s. Is there is way to get that to stop without slowing down the z feedrate? EDIT: Nevermind. MAX ACCEL for Z-AXISby CVRIV - General
I'm using a BigTreeTech SKR 1.3. I'll settle for wiring the LEDs right the main but it would be cool if I could turn them on and off through the display. Thanks.by CVRIV - General
I'm trying to check my extruder's steps/mm and I can't figure out how to bypass the cold extrusion prevention. Im using Marlin 2.0. I tried M302 as well. Says it's disabled but its not because it keeps giving me a warning and asking if I want to heat the hotend. I tried commenting this out: #define PREVENT_COLD_EXTRUSION That didn't work. I tried changing this to 0: #define EXTRUDE_MINTEMP 180by CVRIV - General
I designed and built a custom CoreXY machine and so far everything works great. The one thing I noticed was that I had to fine tune the bed levelness manually to get the machine to do a bilinear level job without failing. I had to slightly raise the front right corner of the bed to get the machine to probe that corner successfully. When I did that the back right corner failed, but once I raisedby CVRIV - CoreXY Machines
Fixed the noise by tapering the pulleys. Works amazing well.by CVRIV - CoreXY Machines
So I have a theory. I'll post pics later when I get home fron work. The z axis of the machine has a lead screw in each corner. I think that maybe each corner might be slightly offset from each other. I have to make sure the z axis is tuned.by CVRIV - CoreXY Machines
I dont think the pulley axles are not verticaly true. If anything maybe the pulleys at the end of the gantry have an offset. I'll check it again but I'm nearly certain all the pulleys are leveled. I have missed things before, maybe there's something else I'm missing.by CVRIV - CoreXY Machines
Hello everyone. I designed and built a Corexy printer and its nearly complete. I have it all belted up and noticed some belt movement that has the belt teeth rubbing the pulley guides when I move the gantry or extruder carriage assembly by hand. I spent a lot of time to make sure that the belt system was aligned/ leveled so this is a bit disturbing to me. I uploaded a video of what's happeningby CVRIV - CoreXY Machines
Thanks for the info. Im just using regular PLA.by CVRIV - General
