Using 0.9.3. I saw somewhere on the net that if you had to use retraction then it was making up for some other issue with the setup so I have sort of avoided that so far but maybe you are right...by kramma - Printing
Getting some almost perfect prints. Still getting some blobbing (see photos). I have had a look using the forum search function but cant find any good threads. Can someone help me with where they may be to sort the problem or had any ideas themselves? Cheers, Kby kramma - Printing
Hello. I am currently having problems with my thermister for my arduino/marlin/ramps1.4/reprap mendelmax. The thermister I am using does not produce the same temperature readings in when i swap the thermister to different pin inputs (i.e. when i put the thermister on T1/the 'bed' the temperature readout is 24 (room temperature), when i put the thermister on T1/the 'hotend' temperature is 0oC. Yes, but still not close enough for me to be comfortable about reckoning on the tby kramma - Reprappers
Thanks for this must have been a cut copy error - sadly still didnt recitfy the issue!by kramma - Reprappers
I know I am starting to feel that I have replaced everything as well! Here is another picture of things going weird - honeywell selected this time and 100k hotbed thermistor strapped to the hotend Thanks for the enthusiasm to at least not make me feel im going too mad for not being able to spot the issue.by kramma - Reprappers
Thanks for the suggestion - Done and they seem to be giving me the 100k figure i would expect - that said I was fairly sure of that being true as when i use them for the bed they seem to work fine!? What is going on?! Kby kramma - Reprappers
So, I have my budashnozzle hot end. I diligently installed it and changed the code to honeywell resister (7) for the thermister. Now Pronteface is reading temperature as 450+ whatever I change. Picture is of proteface. The code below is showing 100k thermisters I am currently using to detect the hotend temperature. Both are located on the hotend just to prove the discrepancy in the measurementby kramma - Reprappers
Brilliant, thats a great help thanks. Thats why it homes up too... Im getting so close.by kramma - Reprappers
Thanks for the reply. That is very sensible and I have tried it and fiddled with the Marlin settings a bit but it still doesnt stop the axis movement appropriately! Slightly nervous about continue to do it as well I dropped a magnet last time onto another Hall-o and fried my ramps - what are the chances I know - but I was hoping there was someone out there who could just see a blinding error in mby kramma - Reprappers
Hello, anyone know how I calibrate Hall-o endstops? I have them on the three home axis ends of the axis. They have the appropriate magnet pole facing the hall-o sensor which induces the LED to come on. It just seems to smash into my endstops with the last couple of calabrations I have tried and am unwilling to put them through too much more damage though future trial and error! This is my Marlinby kramma - Reprappers
Im just installing hall-o endstops as my first ever endstop - possibly a bit too ambitious! Did you ever get this sorted with Marlin? I have no idea why my mendel doesn't appear to register the endstop and just goes smahing into it!? Any help would be brilliant - im so close! Cheers, Kby kramma - Controllers
Thanks for the reply but I changed the temp thermistor with no change in outputby kramma - RAMPS Electronics

Background - Im a newbe using arduino, ramps 1.4, mandel max setup running marlin and pronteface. Just got my x axis, y axis, z axis moving, my hot end heating and my hotend temperature sensor sencing. Brilliant. - Then just bridged something on hall-o endstops while just doing a final tightening and something (i belive on my ramps 1.4/arduino) went pop. I shut everything down and restarted 5 mby kramma - RAMPS Electronics
